Well, I can tell you I paid too much for my Limited AWD with everything...almost. Is your's a Limited or what? Looks like a nice price. I would think it's a buyer's market when it comes to Fords with MyFordTouch installed. I have the Cargo & all weather mats. Many complain about the privacy shade. I have grown to like my shade. The cargo mat & bumper guard are a must have. I bought the all weather mats after the fact & I really like them.

Good Luck DreamAss!! I hear ya. I'm dreading the trip to the dealership to have my BAMR fixed (along with a new update, if any, to MFT). It has gotten really labored at trying to close and I don't think it's due to cold weather in KS.

I would buy the car again but not the 2011 model I must admit that I would not have considered a Ford Edge normally but I had a drink of Ford's kool-aid after the 2010 auto shows. Ford managed to sell me on what they had hoped would be functional for the 2011 model year. Who would have thought Ford would have released the Touch system before it's time. I sure didn't. I assumed Ford had their shit together more that they do. From the rumors I've seen here, I don't think they will have it right until the 2013 model year!

I'm an IT guy also and I can tell you that I've tested many Beta apps that were more polished than this Touch. I hope the rumors of a new version are correct! I've been drivin' mine since September and have had a several issues with the Touch system. While your test drive seemed to be OK, the real test comes after a few days of use. My Touch system has a habit of getting confused after a while (that's why they built in the reboot feature). When I start the car, the audio source is selected by some random algorithm. Sometime it surprises me and starts playing the BT Audio only to be disappointed with it switching to FM! During a recent road trip, the system rebooted several times while trying to change waypoints on the nav system. Oh and the Nav seemed to work OK most of the time. It was strange how periodically it would show me a couple of miles off of the interstate I was on. The Backup camera works great as well as the BLIS feature. I can't live without it now.

Do you have the Nav option in the upper right corner of the 8" Touch screen? Is there a SD card in the SD slot? The navigation will not work unless you have the map data plugged into the SD slot. If Navigation is enabled and you have no card, you should be getting warning messages.

I'll continue to complain until my system is working. If the rumors are correct, by the time the stable version comes out, I would have been driving this defective car for over a year. I think Ford need to give me some kind of rebate for putting up with this.

It's been almost 11 months since by Edge was built and my MFT is still a piece of crap. Would waiting a year have helped? If so, then I should be expecting the fixed Touch system soon. Is Ford "stepping up"? As an owner, I don't see it. Ford needs to communicate with the owners. If they know they have a POS and will have it fixed soon, then why not let us know what to expect? Keeping quiet about it is not helping.

All vehicles have their sweet spot on buffeting. My old PT Cruiser would make my brain explode if I had the roof and windows open. My 11 Edge with roof has it's spots too. Are you getting the buffeting while the Big Ass Moon Roof is open? You need to have it open far enough to make the deflector pop up. Without the deflector, it's NOISY

I can relate. My '11 Edge has 11k miles and running v2.8. During my road trip this weekend, Touch rebooted every time I tried to edit the route. WTF Ford !?! where is the system you promised me when I bought the car last year? I didn't purchase this car expecting it to be full of bugs.

I noticed during my road trip across kansas this weekend that the navigation system would cause the touch to reboot several times. This usually happened when I was adding destinations to the route. Ford, how about an update!!??!!

I also chose the limited (AWD) over the Sport. I felt the same way about the 22"s. The 18s would be much more practical with potholes as well as semi off_road conditions. I also wanted the HIDs, Tow Package, and the sturdy lower body panels (I got a black Edge so the black plastic isn't that noticeable) I also like the Big As Chrome Grille over the black one.

On google maps you have an option to send destination to you via email or send it to your car. Select car and fill in the phone umber that is associated with your sync account. When you get into the car, connect to services and the destination will downloaded to your Nav.

2.8 does reboots as needed. Fuse 29 is a thing of the past. I've noticed that my Phone's Bluetooth has a lot to do with the communication. iOS5 beta 2 has been the best yet. The main problem is that MFT does't handle BlueTooth issues very well. I think the diversity in phones is eating MFT's lunch.

Congratulations! You should check the version of your Sync software on SyncMyRide.com. You may have an old version of software causing the the USB & BT bugs

I believe this is the Sirius TravelLink feature. It will go away after the 6 month trial is over :-) that said...Check the TravelLink options on your Touch.

The TSB has been rescinded? Wow. When I think of Ford and MY Touch system...A monkey and a football come to mind.

It doesn't matter what color the other Edge is. The dealership's body shop swapped my Black Edge's chrome insert out with a White Edge that was on the lot. I think it took them about an hour. Your Saleman may think it's hard cuz he doesn't know what he is talking about.

The confusing part is the location of this nav software? On the sim card, in MyFordTouch, or somewhere else? All along we have been able to track the sync versions and get them updated. Nothing is said about the nav software. Is nav software included in the sync updates or is it a seperate package? If I go to my dealer and request a nav update cuz my system can't locate an address, will they be able to do it?

I wonder what the 2012 Edges will ship with. Do ya t.hink they would actually ship with the old software?
