  1. This posting gave me a feeling of calm :tease:
  2. WOW. Glad no one was hurt. Thank god for safety glass! I recall when the Honda Element had a rash of cracked windshields. Honda finally admitted to it being their fault.
  3. Yep. It's disgusting isn't it! (I have fun pulling his chain) I'm not getting my hopes to high on the 2.11 update. It should be an improvement though. On my way back to the office this afternoon, I was thinking that the BT Audio had been working great the past two days.... Just then, the touch screen locked up! No response at all. I got to the parking garage, turned off the car and opened the door. The AM radio kept blasting away. It would not shut off. I ended up getting out of the car and walked away with the radio blasting. It finally shut off when I got about 50 feet away. Bring on the update!!
  4. I have the cover and have learned to live with it. It has it's short comings but it also serves the purpose very well.
  5. I've driven a few vehicles in my 40+ years of driving and I have never had a vehicle roll like this one. This is not normal. I've been driving this car since Sept. so I'm pretty familiar to how it acts when I park it. It didn't used to roll like it does now. This "normal" behavior has presented itself in the last month. UPDATE: Today I parked in the same parking space as I have for several weeks. I left myself the usual room so I wouldn't roll into the wall. To my surprise, the car didn't roll. It held it's weight like it used to.
  6. To start out, Ford should not have released My Ford Touch last year.
  7. I'm not so sure the rolling is normal. My Edge didn't used to do it. It used to be tight when I put it into park. Now I have to be careful to not park close to something cuz I may roll into it.
  8. Whoo Hoo! I'll do it when I take mine in for Transmission TSB and slow BAMR! She says this is version 2.11. That will be a .4 version step for me.
  9. Like I said... Ford was only able to list 2 (obscure) phones that support their highly marketed SMS feature. That's a sad story that they couldn't come up with more than that on the updated list.
  10. Have you noticed the difference since the TSB? Better performance such as less delay or lag on acceleration. No more KLUNKS?
  11. Did you get the TSB performed? It sounds like it would fix some of my issues and am going to have it done when i take it in to get the dragging BAMR fixed
  12. Hey AXCL. how did the TSB go? I have the Klunk as well as what I consider extensive roll in Park.
  13. Exactly! I had to skip the log in and just poke around as a non registered user. I guess the Ford Sync monkeys were fighting over the football. Quality EDIT, Here is the list...WOW http://www.nsapp.fordtechservice.dealerconnection.com/sync/usEN/sync_us_EN_iop_2_00.pdf
  14. Oh really? I was unaware...... I was just able to locate the list. jeez that was a choir. OK. It does look like they updated the list. If they had this list available when I ordered 12 months ago, I wouldn't have ordered. It says SMS & audio streaming is not available on iPhones! Well that's inaccurate. Good job Ford. Oh; take notice. Ford was only able to list 2 (obscure) phones that support their highly marketed SMS feature. That's a sad story that they couldn't come up with more than that on the updated list.

  16. While your MFT is up-to-date, make sure your iPhone is also. MFT is full of bugs, the phone does play a part in it as well. I have an iPhone 4 on ATT and have similar issues. I can say that with the iOS 5 beta 3, BT Audio works a little bit better. It's a combination of MFT not able to handle the different phones' issues and the phones implementing (or not) certain BlueTooth stuff that MFT agrees with.
  17. Ford should have thought of that before they published the out of date list they have. Chalk this up to another thing Ford dropped the ball on with this Touch.
  18. Ya. Right next to the UPDATED list of compatible phones.
  19. I think you should find another dealership. Sounds like these guys are idiots and dishonest.
  20. Have you tried the area in front of the glass roof (next to antenna) or on the rear spoiler?
  21. I've had problems non stop but have been "blessed" to have had good experiences at my dealership's service. I can understand the "fan boys" getting upset when we talk crap on their Ford. It just took me a year on the forum to come to terms... fan boys just don't understand I know my Ford Touch system SUCKS. I hope Ford realizes it SUCKS and fixes it soon.
  22. I leave my OLD hard drive based iPod plugged into the car all the time. No issues with it since I took delivery last sept. In Kansas, it not only gets cold but it also gets HOT. My SD based nav doesn't seem to have a problem on temp. I'm pretty sure a USB drive will be OK. On the speakers, Take your ride to the dealership. Sounds like a speaker is "blown".
  23. It seems like I've seen this Avoidance issue mentioned before. Let's hope your dealer will find the Service bulletin that addresses it.
  24. Does the power actually stay on? Try walking away from the car, take your fob into the house and leave it there. Now go back out to the car and l check to see if the power is still on. I haven't tried this with the power outlets but I did notice that the USB ports get power as soon as it senses the Fob nearby. Also, Are all the power outlets wired the same? Will some of them stay on and others power down? EDIT: I looked through the manual and it leads me to think that they are all powered all the time. Man! That is lame! To have full capacity usage of your power point, the engine is required to be running to avoid unintentional discharge of the battery. To prevent the battery from being discharged: • do not use the power point longer than necessary when the engine is not running, • do not leave battery chargers, video game adapters, computers and other devices plugged in overnight or when the vehicle is parked for extended periods.
  25. I use a playlist of my Podcasts. You can access the playlist under Music. That said, I'm pretty sure I've been able to browse to "Podcasts" (while connected to USB)
