Yes. I don't use a SD card but MFT will randomly pick a source from those available. It is a real pain. It's been bugging me for 2 years now

I got my iPhone 5. One thing I have noticed since is that MFT is SO SLOW compared to the iPhone 5. Trying to enter a destination into the MFT is like using a 486 pentium compared to the responsiveness of the iPhone 5. I honestly tried my best to except the slow response and use voice commands. Voice commands are no better. In preparation for a short trip, I sat in the garage trying to enter two POI destinations. Very frustrating! When I did get a list of restaurant list narrowed down to 3, I had no idea which one to select because I couldn't see the address. I can't imagine trying to do this with my "eyes on the road and hands on the wheel"

I've got a 2011 and from time to time my seat is unable to move forward. The dealership replaced the seat module but it has happened several times since. Somebody gave me a tip on the forum to move the seat all the way forward and up. This seems to reset it's brain and allow it to function for a while.

Has anyone been able to get the integration with phone book and nav system to work? I continue to get "invalid address" error when I try to set a phone book entry as my destination. If it isn't supported, they should remove the button.

My iPhone 4s appears to support sms in MFT and lets me configure it but it doesn't send or recieve messages

darn When iOS 6 beta was first released, I was surprised with a sms being read to me by MFT. It must have been after the next iOS update that the messages stopped. I was going to test with the upgrade this morning.

Too bad they don't address the random audio source "feature".

The posting on the Sync community only mentions the clock. Really? Is this the only change/fix?

Seems like Ford is draggin their feet with this MFT. How long did it take to put the clock back on the main screen? 6 months? ...and even then, they had to yank it. I guess asking for the AppLink otption they announced 3yrs ago is out of the question. Most likely they will discontinue support of this POS and hope it dies in it's sleep. I can assure you that my next car will not be a Ford. I'm fed up with the failed promises.

Before I purchased my 2011 2 years ago, Ford was saying that app link will be coming real soon to MyFord Touch. At that time, it was just a software update. No new buttons needed.

I didn't know there were two black options when i ordered my 2011 Limited. I got the Tuxedo and boy am I glad! I think the standard black sucks. I guess it wouldn't make any difference if you never washed the car.

It can happen at 25-30. A 30mph "rolling stop" as in going through a toll gate will do it. If your transmission meets the TSB requirements (verified by looking at the dipstick and mfg date) then tell your dealership that you want the TSB applied. On mine, the klunk still happens from time to time but not like it used to.

Based on history, chances are that the outage is not related to an update. I wonder if the update will address any other issues beside the outside temp. Possibly a few tweeks to get it to work more smoothly with iOS 6? Possibly a little "SIRI" stickers to put on the steering wheel's voice button? <<joke>>

I really like the fact that the climate control can kick in full force and cool that car off. I don't like the fact that it works at the most odd times. Getting in and starting the car is an adventure. Not only the MFT adventure but the climate control is sporadic. When the cabin is scorching hot, the climate control can act anemic. When the cabin is tolerable, climate control sometimes freezes me out of the car. The algorithm used to kick the HVAC into MAX is flawed. Oh. I also noticed the bug where the system will not go back to your auto temp settings when you turn MAX off.

My Edge has a plastic funnel that is stowed near the spare tire. Use it when trying to pour gas or whatever into the tank.

I got the run around when i complained about my tranny. The next time I went in, I had the TSB in hand. They ordered the parts and scheduled the fix. The fix seems to have help. It's not perfect but it's a great deal better.

You're right. I have a history of not keeping cars long. I had hoped this Edge would have changed that. I like the Edge and have learned to put my blinders on when it comes to the Touch problems. That makes for a half-ass experience of driving a vehicle. I bet when I get a new car it won't have My Ford Touch in it!

Uconnect is a broad term. Chrysler has used it for several years now. It's very hard to distinguish what features you have when a person says "Uconnect" Just like Ford may still use "My Ford Touch" in the future. A buyer will need to be well versed to know what they are getting. I hope the buyer of my Edge is not well versed. I can see the Blue Book value dropping a butt load because I have the "first gen" MFT.

I'm not saying there will not be other systems in the future. I'm just saying that Ford will drop this version and move on to the future.

You can call it a lemon if you like. The whole Ford Touch system is proving to be a big mistake for Ford. I see them working on updates to the software for another year then they will throw it to the curb. Did you update to the newest version? That will be the first thing you will need to do before they even consider replacing the My Ford Touch computer (APIM).

I've determined that the upgrade is mostly cosmetic. Yes, they changed the nav but it still shows me driving through corn fields from time to time. The brains behind managing the connections to the phone (usb or BT) are still just as buggy as they ever were....the bugs just look different. Ford really screwed this one up and can't find a way to fix it. I bet MFT (as we know it) will not be in the next years models. The future is to use the owner's cell phone as the main processor and use the car to simply display/play it.

I opted for the 24$/yr travel link a yr ago. I noticed that they dipped into my bank account and renewed it this week. If I look at the Sirius subscription info on the Touch screen, I see all the travel link items green except the Traffic option. It's red and says I'm not subscribed to it. I don't used the traffic option (hell, I don't use any of the options cuz they hardly ever work) so I haven't noticed. I'm going to call Sirius and cancel. (My bet is that Sirius will be out of business in 3 yrs.)
