This is the mount on the right side of center stack. It grabs onto the silver trim and stays put great. I'm able to remove it with no problems (I didn't use the dbl sided tape it came with) I bought a black iPhone cable and routed it to the USB port. Nothing fancy. It just comes out of the armrest and the lid has no problem shutting with it there.

A couple of reasons I went for the Limited last year.

Try downloading the status checker from SyncMyRide and install it on your Touch system. Then upload the results back to SyncMyRide. This should give you a report on the current version. Another option is to check the install history at http://www.syncmyride.com/Own/Modules/AccountManagement/VehicleMaintenanceHistory.aspx

Ouch. One of my fears that led me to the limited with 18"s and the "chrome clad" wheels Please keep us updated on how you get the big wheel/s repaired. EDIT: and don't get me started with the MFT distractions

Wow. you have 2.11 I guess Sirius has some 'splainin' to do I didn't renew the over priced option so I can't relate. Have you tried to call Sirius?

Please. Keep us posted here. While there are a few that have a "working" system, I have a feeling that many owners are on the verge of "insanity" trying to deal with the oddities of this system. NOTE: My feelings are based on my experiences. Every time I get in the car, it's a new experience. A new BAD experience. At what point do I request a new APIM? (as if it will help) An APIM that works. Is there a threshold of frustration that I have to go over first? If so, point me to that threshold

That long is uncommon. Did they replace the APIM? AND, after 3.5 days, you would think the Sirius radio would work like it is supposed to. Can you see what version you have? (SyncMyRide.com)

I've found that the cubby hole behind the stack is awkward to get to from the driver's seat. The Proclip mount I use does make it handy to see/operate the phone while driving. I have Sync/MyFordTouch and have found that having the phone mounted in sight helps when My MyTouch system does not do what i want it to. Plus, it's a great place to charge you device. The mount also makes it nice when using a navigation app on my iPhone.

Yes. You can see your version on SyncMyRide.com. Take your VIN and register your car on SyncMyride.com. On that web site, you will see the version of Sync/MyTouch software that is installed. From what I understand, Gen2 v2.11 is the latest version for the Edge & Explorer. Let your service department know you have the clock issue and they will install the latest update to the MyTouch system for you. Be prepared. An update at the dealership will take 3hrs or more.

That's great! You were able to install it under the body kit? Can you share some pics? The lack of a trailer hitch on a Sport is one thing that pointed me to a Limited. Still now additional cooling or sway control but who needs that to haul a lawn mower across town?

Well, I am back from my 48 hour susspension for not agreeing with this forum's moderator. I don't recall reading where I had to have the same opinion as the moderator. Oh, wait. He did threaten me. myTouch has a problem with just about everything it does. No tellin what it would do if it was being tricked into thinking it was in park while driving. Heck. While on a road trip last month I blew it's mind just trying to add a waypoint in my route. It rebooted. Good luck! Let us know how it works for you.

Job 1 or job 2 or 3.... Chofff & I both have job 1. We tracked ours through production and delivery together. Hers works great And mine is nearly a lemon. Go figure. I don't plan on rolling my edge so job 2 is a pass for me.

I havent seen where anyone unlocked the Touch system. Just get yourself an iPad with nav & velcro it to your dash. Do you really want to hack into my ford touch???? It's having a hard enough time on its own. Hacking it will not help

I hope iPhone 5 will have the balls to send contact pics & SMS to Touch. I hope the new Touch will work with everything. HOPE

I'm the one that got the $24 deal. To get the deal that I got, I had to go through 4 or 5 people. I later found out when I looked at the Travel Link subscription page, that Traffic is not included. Damn! The weather app works once in a while but I can't trust it. Gas prices seem to work but I don't use them. I don't see a need for it until they fix this POS called Touch
