I have an adapter that charges the iPad via a power point. It would be nice to have one of the USB ports charge though. BlueTooth is just too flakey with one device. I can't imagine having 2 devices to confuse MFT.

How does that relate to my Canon's SDHC Class 10 Card? I see info about write speed but not read speed.

I just took the iPad out to the car to test it. I stand corrected. The iPad was not seen by v2.11 MFT. I must have dreamt that I used my iPad before (possibly v1.8 or audio via the AV ports). Nice upgrade feature. Now I know what I can use that Big Ass center console for. I'll keep my iPad stored there. Too bad the USB ports don't have the power to charge the iPad. Could that be addressed in the new software release?

"Performance Upgrade" makes it sound like it is just a speed issue. Whoa dude! That's a pretty cocky statement! Now I know I will have no more problems with MyFord Touch. Awesome!!

A personal letter admitting that they screwed up. I mean...damn! They got my $40k for a broken product. The latest press release says they doubled the speed. Lack of speed was only one issue. They never admitted that the system was ladened with bugs. (bugs like random audio source selection, the fact that I have to hit BT Audio 5 times to get it to possibly play BT Audio) Owners that have these features can relate to me. Owners who don't have these issues will have no clue as to why I am frustrated.

I still think Ford owes me some kind of apology. Something more than an offer to update my software to something that just might work. What about the 15 months I've endured with this piece of shit call MyFord Touch? This kind of customer service (or lack of) will keep me from purchasing another Ford. Oh. ..and Boo Hoo for poor little old Ford for having to spend the past year fixing this crap. What a shame.

Those vertical LEDs are what sold me on the Edge. They reminded me of the lights in my new fridge! I wish I could get them to be my Daytime Running Lights. Not an option in the states ...those Canadians get all the perks!

Come on Ford! Why should an owner need to read a manual and watch videos to learn how to use a system?!? When a person rents an Edge at HERTZ or AVIS, will they be required to take a class before driving off? The best technology is the technology that doesn't need manuals (iOS)

#FAIL Engadget did report on the press release....TWICE. The 2nd time they called it "hands on". There was no new info. presented.

I agree. The processor is not the fastest but we really aren't asking MFT to do a great deal of processing. Most of it's function is to perform as a menu/interface to other systems. Such as tune a radio, flip switches for HVAC system, make a phone call. The first round of development failed at managing the resources. PERIOD. If you look at the demos & photos of the new system, you may notice that they trimmed some fat. Things I noticed that were omitted from MFT in the latest press releases...(but may still exist) Totally useless Home screen wallpaper Totally useless Browser Totally useless hotspot feature (we still have the wifi hardware in the car so it may still be an option.) I wonder if they have fixed the Nav so it can read addresses from the Contact book. UPDATE: They are adding support for my iPad. WHY? Why would I want to play iPad media on the smaller MFT screen? Am I missing something here?

Most (if not all) of those reports were made right after the update. Yes. Things are fixed for a few days but the system still has the underlying issue of going "stupid" and falling back to it's old ways. It does reboot on it's own but only after I endure a few days of random issues. (That's where the reboot on a stick helps) 2.11 is just lipstick on a pig

Energy savings? That's BS. DST is robbing Peter to pay Paul There is still the same amount of time that the sun is shining. Arizona has figured this out I'm a morning person. I enjoy the early morning sunrise but DST messes with that. DST caters to those that like to stay in bed in the morning.

The 2.11 update really doesn't fix anything. I've had it installed for a few months and the system is just as buggy as previous versions. Some people have reported better response time as well as other improvements after the update. I think that is just due to the fact that the system just rebooted. Did your system stop the "performing maintenance" after the 3 times? If so, I would wait until the major upgrade next year.
