I just had my front to rims replaced and I drove about a 1000km this past long weekend and by the time I got home they have started to creak again. I will give it a few days before I tell the service people about it and then see what happens. I can't wait to go through this again when I rotate the tires.

I had the same sound and I am getting both my front rims replaced from the dealer. They didn't even question the nosie just said they are on there way.

Has anyone found the front chrome grill or the Ford logo starting to pit or chip away?

The things I like.. BAMR Sync Power.....still haven't hit the max speed yet. AWD The body kit that makes people ask what kind of car is that. And the paint job....Black with 20" Chrome rims looks awesome after a fresh wash in the sunshine.

One thing to add to this from being a salesman and working in a Ford dealer would be that you can buy an ESP anytime. As long as your in the factory warrenty its the same price if you buy it now or later. Drive it for a few years and if it gives you any trouble then extend it. Why pay for something your not going to use for the next 3 years.

They have to be drilled out. A small bit right in the center should get rid of them. It looks a lot better with out it but you need to cover the 2 holes left by the rivets.

Your right......my bad....the MKZ has HID lights not the MKX

I agree with the gas struts but really....how often are you opening the hood for this to really matter. The HID headlight come on the MKX, and besides the heated rear seats and then Lincoln look thats the only difference between the Edge and MKX so I think we can give it to the Lincoln CUV's. I totally agree about the rear bumper protector, mine is black and got scratched right away. Vista roof switches are not illuminated...how often do you open it in the dark? And when it comes to the nav and the POI's...how many will complain when Ford has a new disk but wants $500 for it...I am sure a lot will just deal with it. The only thing I would like changed and I know its a safety issue but I would like a one touch full close of the Vista roof but I doubt that will ever happen.

Just drill out the center of the rivets and it will come out. I used 2 plastic screws to fill the holes left behind by the bracket.

I know its not legal here to tint the front windows but just get a tint company to do it.

Well I do have a bracket for it and I could install it but it would make the front end look ugly. I can put it on take a pic and say the bracket came in and the plate is installed and take pics.

I live in Vancouver, BC Canada and I have 30 days to fight the ticket and then I wait for a court date. The nice part is if the cop doesn't show they through out the ticket...works for speeding tickets and everything else.

No gas struts means less weight and more room in the engine compartment. Even a small amount of weight changes the mpg and HP.

Well I just got a ticket last week for $109 for not having a front plate mounted on the Edge. What kind of cop pulls someone over at 8:30 on a saturday morning as I pull in to stop for breakfast. He gave me a 15 min chat about how its the dealers fault and I should get them to pay for not selling me a bracket. I work for the dealer and I have a bracket...forgot to tell him that part. I will fight it and see what happens but I still don't have my plate mounted.

There are a few sites like leasebusters.com and leaseboyz.com but the best is craig's list and it doesn't cost a penny or even your local paper. I know the websites cost $$$ and they don't always work but the paper or craig's list have worked really well for others I have helped.

Well not only do I work for a Ford dealer but I am the lease manager in western Canada so I can answer the question for you. You can bring a lease back to Ford at anytime....BUT...the contract has to be paid out or the Edge has to be bought back by the dealer. When a dealer says we can take care of the payments if you get another one...someone is paying for the last payments, most of the time its the customer. Sometime Ford will offer rebates to pull customers out of there lease's early but its not happening as often now. One way to get out of a lease really early is to get someone else to take it over and then they can finish off the lease and you can get something else. Let me know if this answers your question.

I am 6'8 and I have a 2008 Edge with the power seat and the sunroof. I find I have good head room but I tilt the seat back just a bit. I just drove 3500km in 5 days in it and never found it a problem and didn't have any back or neck pain from sitting in that postion.

How long will the paint last on them?

I have tinted my front to windows and its illegal in BC. I have been stopped twice and they haven't even noticed. With the vista roof and the back ones tinted it looks normal. The black leather helps as well. my gallery has pics of my Edge

I have a Black with Black Leather...it may need cleaning alot...man does it look good a clean with the chrome rims and then body kit.

My shifter squeeks when i go shift from park and and drive. Its in the shop for a second day. Has anyone else had that issue?

I have the kit on my Edge and they are the stock fog lights behind the front skirt. The kit was very easy to install and only a few times do you need 2 people. If you order it unpainted you will spend a lot at a paint shop to get the base coats applied. The kit comes as raw plastic and is a pain to get anything to stick to it at first.

What was the total after everything was done....springs, install and 4-wheel alignment?

I am getting better bumper plugs that are at least painted....soon.
