ford remote start on the edge is programmed for no tach to program key on foot on brake hold button till 3 beeps. foot off brake push button 1 time 4 beeps push button again 5 beeps now touch brake on n off 1 beep look at LED on harness push remote start fob 1 time n LED will go on. turn off key all done

Ford remote start does that so that MY FORD KEY works. The car must see one of the ignition keys start the car for MY KEY to work. It can be programmed to be over-ridden.ask your dealer to do it

it sounds like the RS is programmed for tach. All the newer fords do not require a tach signal. I am not familar with the viper. Just go back into programming and set it for no tach or try voltage or hybrid or whatever they use that has a no tach setting.

it sounds like it is locked out. You will need the dealer IDS (computer)

depending on what year your edge is you can have the dvd play thru your radio system.from the audio out RCA jacks plug into the RCA jacks in your car or the 3.5 mm audio jack. switch the radio to entertainment or audio out

You need the new head unit,a radio harness, an installation kit, and an antenna adapter. Nothing else.

it would require getting to the back of the outlet you want to rewire.cut the positive wire from the outlet and rewiring to fuse box or ignition switch. If you are not comfortable doing this you can go to a car stereo installation store and have it done.

the good news is if you have a 2008 edge it is a seperate tuner and not part of the head unit.the tuner is mounted in the hatch area on the left side under the plastic panel.If your radio is not navigation I have new ford radios very reasonly priced. PM me if interesed. Gary

you probably don't have it but to test leave drivers window open,lock doors with remote,wait 1 minute,reach in and open door from inside,if you have an alarm it will sound in about 10 seconds.

if it is in valet mode the LED will flash twice pause flash twice and keep doing this. To get out of valet you have to turn ignition on and off 3 times rapidly without starting car.

bluetooth was not available in ford nav until 2008. do u have a factory nav system?

all ford remote start units require dealer activation.they are all easy if you know what you are doing.if not leave it to a professional. all ford units require an antenna in cargo area. console does not have to be touched
