I'd like to remove my stock 2010 Edge roof rack side rails (no crossbars) but I need the black trim peices that go in the roof channels when the rack rails are removed. I'll trade straight across - my roof rack rails for your inserts (the black strips that go in the roof channels when no rack is installed). No cash involved. Ship me your inserts, and I'll ship you the rails. Reply if interested...

It's pretty simple: pop off the outer shell of the bracket (the curved part that connects to the roof), there are two screws per bracket that screw directly into the roof. Remove the screws and off comes the bracket. Repeat for the remaining 3 brackets. One problem though - you can't just remove the roof rails and leave it at that. The 2 black trim strips that run the full length of the roof (the flat strip that the rails bolt down through) will need to be replaced with the plain strips without the bracket mounting points. You'll also have to seal the holes in the roof from the bracket screws. I know all this because I was going to remove my roof rails also - until I found out the dealer wants 50 bucks each for the replacement trim strips. Not worth it to me...

Hey all, New to the forum, this is my first post. I have an almost brand-new set of 4 TSW Cadwell wheels that I bought about a week ago for my own Edge. I installed them and drove on them for about a week before deciding I wanted a different look. I switched to a different style yesterday, and I'm now selling these locally on Craigslist, but wanted to post here as well. They're really nice rims, but just not the style I was going for.
