If the radio stops working, your out of luck. I signed up for a year. You actually pay for 11 months & get a full year of service. That is about as daring as I get.

It says that it plugs into the satellite port. Doesn't that mean you won't be able to use Sirius with this hooked up?

The ones from Ford can link together so you watch the same thing on both or play something different on each. The Ford ones also have a ratcheting mechanism so they can tilt forward & back 3 or 4 notches.

The antenna is supposed to go on the wing in back. At first, they put it on the roof in front on the passenger side & ran the wire down the side of the windshield & filled it in with black RTV & through the door & put duct tape to hold it there. I complained immediatly & my salesman agreed it was pretty bad. They moved it to the wing, but its mounted about 2 inches off center ( something to do with the stop light there). It works fine & I try not to look at it.

I'm not sure on that. I was looking more at the MKX, but looked at the Edge every time I went to the dealership. Actually. I didn't realize 17's were available on the Edge. I started noticing the Michelins on both cars around June.

I bought the cargo liner in charcoal & its nearly an exact match. The fit is also right on. Based on my experience , I highly recommend it.

Wow; Thats a good deal. Perhaps, they added free service for you also. I forgot to ask for Sirius when I ordered mine. My dealer charged me $495 & no free service. To make matters worse, they forgot to give me the code to register it & it was Saturday & the custom shop was closed. Luckily, there is a combination of buttons you push on the head unit & the code will display. I would have thought when you contacted Sirius that they would know how long your service is paid for. I have a tuner at home also, so only have to pay half price for the car radio & also can listen online from anywhere I log in.

That makes sense. The one I had also showed them mounted to the hood.

I saw the commercial over the weekend. Surprising that they use a new car to show a breakdown.

What brand of tires you have will give you some indication of when your vehicle was built. The Edge started with Continentals, then went to Hankook & finally Michelin. The MKX started with Continentals & then Michelins.

I read someplace that the biggest reason for nitrogen is that it doesn't hold moisture that can damage wheels & the TPMS.

I had one on my 93 Lightning with the rubber bumpers. Without them, the deflector tends to wobble a lot at speed. Frankly, I think at least in my case that these things seem more like a rock attractor then a deflector. It did help with bugs, but in the 10 years that I had the Lightning, I had 5 broken windshields. Many times, I saw small stones coming & could see the wind current steer them lower onto the windshield area.

I don't have any pics yet. It doesn't appear dramtically lowered. I believe its around 1.75 inches lower then stock. Thats just enough that you don't see too much inside the wheel wells. The biggest benefit is that it handles crisper & you can push into corners a bit harder.

The 08 Navigater has one. It displays in the rearview mirror, I believe. Not sure if the Ford models have it also.

Did you check with your dealer?

That explains it. Mine does have the plastic flaps.

My Dealer had one on the lot with the dark wood kit. but the controls were black. I don't know how they managed that. I thought it was too much dark & looked a little bland for my taste. It also had 20' Niche wheels with Toyo tires on them. It stickered for $48K.

I agree with you that the handling is much improved. I still have the 18" factory wheels & I'm undecided if I want to change them now. I guess I'll wait & see how the plastic chrome holds up. BTW; I like your wheels a lot. What brand are they? :hyper:

My dealer has a Taurus X in the showroom. From a distance, I thought it was an Edge. Its not too bad looking, a little more boxy then the Edge/MKX.Has no BAMR though.

Well, perhaps you can tell the rest of us how to get the door pull pads, since I didn't get any either.
