MKX2007

My dealer has an Edge on their lot with the DVD headrests. The sticker shows $2195.00 for them, allthough my salesman told me $1995.00 for them on the MKX. That Edge also had 20's on it & they added $ 3200.00 to the cost. I think could do a lot better on the wheels from your local tire store or over the internet. I like the factory DVD headrests though because they are a correct color match.

Are you certain you need to manually close the shade? I know that at least on the MKX, the shade is power operated both open & close.

I guess that in either case, if you didn't know, it wouldn't bother you. I opted for the chrome clad on the MKX because they were the same price. No way would I have paid an extra $750 though. I'd really like to get black painted anyway if my budget allows.

I chose black because I think thats the only color that the MKX looks good in. That way, the black textured plastic at the bottom doesn't jump out at you & make the body appear too short. If Silver Birch had been available, I might have chosen it & added the 3D Carbon body kit.

It sounds like someone was dragging their feet. I placed an order for an MKX on 6-4 & the DORA shows being entered on 6-6. The delivery is due about 7-16. My salesman has updated me every Tuesday.

Do you like the Edge better then the F-150? I'm planning on trading my 05 Supercrew on an MKX. Its due in about 3 weeks.

There are 2 more located in the ceiling above the lift gate. The 4 that are in the doors are probably dual cone. Those would count as 2 each.

I've seen the factory one's at the dealership & to me, they look great. The fact that EDGE is moulded into them makes them look authentic. If they made these for the MKX, I'd buy them.

Thats kind of a shame. It seems that when you already have your wallet open at the dealership, adding a few more items to the purchase is easy to do. Afterwards, reality usually sets in for me & I never seem to get around to buying the add ons I would have if they were available up front.

has anyone seen the MKZ commercial where the driver is using a Bluetooth earpiece & is talking to the car? I believe the MKZ uses the same nav as the Edge & MKX.

It seems as though Ford is being a bit slow with add ons for a car that they are depending on so much. Could be that with the money problems they are having or sales are way slower then expected. Little to nothing on the aftermarket either.

The one I saw was on the front passenger side of the car. These may be the ones they mention for keeping mud & snow off the car floor.

These cargo shades are pretty useless. If I saw a car with the shade closed, I'd assume there's something of value beneath it to steal.

I saw some nice mats in one the cars on the dealers lot. They have "EDGE" moulded into the mat.

If I'm reading correctly, you CANNOT use this device with Sirius hooked up. You need to choose one or the other.

Around here, if you leave 20' ahead of you, another car will slide right in there.

In case anyone hasen't noticed this yet, 20's will be an option on the 08's.

Are you talking about the panel below the armrest? Most of the ones I've seen on the dealers lot bow out in the center as though they are warped. Mine hasen't come in yet & I'm hoping mine doesn't have this issue.

Are these from Ford or are they aftermarket?

There is an MKX on my local dealers lot that has 20" wheels on it. The brand is Niche & they are shod with Toyo tires. They are a 5 spoke design & look pretty decent. However, they add just under 5K to the sticker price for just under 48K. Something else interesting about this car is that the center cosole is painted black insted of satin nickle. The first one I've seen like that.

I just ordered an MKX last week; 6-4. My saleman said it was getting close, but not too late. Should be in around the end of July.
