Well my persistence paid off. I requested a 2103 Edge brochure and it arrived yesterday with the $750 private cash. :happy feet: Perfect timing since my 2013 Edge is on the train being transported. I should have it next week. THANKS FORD!!!!!

My salesman said they moved up the timetable because of the MFT upgrades. Whether you can believe them or not is another story.

Thanks for the offer. I have already printed out the window sticker and he showed me the screens that showed the ETA. If something falls through I certainly will give you a shout.

Well, my 2013 Ford Edge Limited has been built and visiting the dealer today he said it has just been released for shipping. He says it will be here the second week of March and will include the updated My Ford Touch. :happy feet:

I have a 2013 Edge on order which should come with the upgraded software. They are building it the 3rd week of February and I should have it by the end of March at the latest. I figure even if it doesn't come on it. The upgrade should be out by the end of March. If I was buying a 2012. I wouldn't be concerned over a couple of months until the upgrade.

I have a 2013 Edge on order in a new color Kodiak Brown. I wonder how this is going to compare to the Metallic Earth color.

I want the fog lights and auto dimming side mirrors and small front console storage. i am going to miss those going from my MKX to the Edge. HID lights a stand alone option. I am getting older and I could then live without the fog lights then since the HID's are much brighter. Would like the heated steering wheel and better grocery hooks in the back. Honda did it right on my 04 Pilot. There were 4 of them and they were actual shaped hooks that folded up and down.

My lease is up on my MKX at the end of March. I decided to order an Edge Limited this week to get exactly what I want. Just spoke to the dealer and he said it will be a 2013. No real changes except for colors. He recommended I go to the 2013 Ford Escape web site to see the colors since they will be the same for the Edge. This is the tough part not seeing them in person, but I am leaning toward the Kodiak Brown with Sienna/Black interior. Wish me luck!!!

It could be the fuel pump being energized with the accessory/power being on. Ford/Lincoln Edge/MKX are notorious for noisy fuel pumps. My 2007 MKX was very noisy especially with a full tank of gas. My 2010, the noise is probably 50% quieter. Can't say why.

Let us know how they like the new vehicle and any problems.The lease of my current MKX is up next March and I am thinking of getting another.

I have a ingot silver 2010 MKX that I had the dealer throw in pin striping. He ask me what I wanted and I told him just make it look good. So when I picked it up it was a two tone, black over a shade darker metallic silver with a Lincoln logo. It looks quite nice.

Well, that is an interesting question. I will be coming off my second MKX lease in March 2012 and I plan to drive both the Edge and MKX. I drove both back in MY 2007 and the Edge's head restraints bothered me and not in the MKX. Don't know why. I have seen some write-ups for both the 2012 and have read about the new paint choices, etc so I am looking forward to comparing them.

I heard back from Ford Lease and they said it doesn't matter which way I go. They will extend lease on either 2010 or 2011 until the vehicle arrives. Also, any incentives on 2010 at time of ordering and/or delivery will apply when vehicles arrives.

Well now I have an interesting problem. My MKX lease is up in May and now do I want a 2010 or extend the lease for a few months and get a 2011. If a get the 2010 I am going to order to get exactly color options I want. I have e-mailed Ford/Lincoln to get a response on when exactly 2011 will be available and any incentives on the 2010's a few months from now.

Must be an epidemic or poor design because mine rear wiper arm on my 07 MKX finally gave out going through the car wash yesterday. Having grown up trying to fix cars myself when you could do such a thing, I thought this should be simple. However, after having the same trouble as Stinger1519, I quickly surmised that it wasn't going to come off without a puller of some sort which I do not have one. I also found it interesting in the owners manual that they say this design is supposed to reduce damage in a car wash, I don't think so.

That's quite interesting. I just changed mine out a couple of weeks ago on my 2007 MKX and there was no screen just the filter.

Thanks for the information folks, I thought I was losing my mind. My 07 MKX started making the high pitched whining sound intermittently starting back in October 08. You can definitely hear it inside the cabin and outside the car when it occurs. Never would have thought it was the fuel pump since I have never owned a car that the pump made that kind of noise or any noise for that matter. I thought it was something in the rear of the vehicle because that is where I thought the noise originally was coming from when I first noticed it.

The rubber inserts were in the center console of my MKX, in a plastic bag.

I have the stone interior on my MKX and I think the dark wood looks fine. If my MKX wasn't a lease I would consider doing the dark wood.

Staff, Do you folks have a MKX 2008 order guide. I would like to see it. I notice that you have the Edge guide posted. Thanks.

I leased my MKX using X-plan for 3 years 12K. There should be no negotiation. You should have your pin number for the x-plan. The dealer should show you the invoice which has the x-plan on it. It is normally, depending on the MSRP, $100-$200 under invoice. There is an aquisition fee of $595 which is not negotiable. The should be some lease cash available hopefully and you need to find out what the lease money factor is for July. It you are dealing with a reputable dealer and ask them they should tell you what the base interest rate is. They will try to mark this interest rate up on you if they can so it is best to know it going in. Edmund's blog on leasing is a good source. I know in May when I was looking at the Edge the interest rate was 0.5% and $750 lease cash. Hope this helps!

I have been in conversation with FordDirectOnline.com and they say it is available with the MKX logo with the part number that Bryce and MKX2007 have listed. The price I was quoted was $46.75 + shipping.
