Thanks! After reading your response I went and checked and it was then obvious what it is. I guess the blue is some kind of urethane-like material to provide some stiffness/isolation?

While I was having a flat repaired on my 2010 Edge I noticed this "device" with the four blue "dots" on it. Anyone know what it is?

It looks like you did a really good job with the leather. I think most of the negative comments are because, like you said, the color doesn't look that good in these pictures.

I wish I could say that I have the Nav on my 2010 SEL because it's a pain tuning channels on Sirius with the six disc radio. At this point I'd be happy with any screen that was there. I do find it hard to believe you're the only one on here with a 2010 with the Nav system.

Regarding the headrest, I didn't like it either at first but found that if I moved it to a higher position so that my head hit it towards the bottom of the headrest it was much easier to deal with. I'm 6'4" , btw.

I picked up a bottle of the Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner and a lamb's wool mitt to get started. I'll check out the NXT next time I get by the store.

My wife has a M-B C300 and it will display info. on it's screen about cds and she has the latest Nickelback cd and it doesn't show any info. about it and is a "store bought" cd so apparently it's a common problem. Man, what a rambling sentence. :rolleyes:

The interface with Sirius on the 6 disc radio is the one thing I hate about my Edge. I just wish it would scroll the info. even if you still had to press the Scan button to switch from song title to artist, etc.

Just as a heads up, I ordered a set of these on Sept. 6th and they've been backordered twice, first to Oct 20th and as of a phone call today, now shipping on Nov. 12th. I'll believe it when they show up on my doorstep. Didn't have this kind of trouble with the floor mat set I ordered from them.

I know I'll probably catch a lot of flack for this question but I'm ready for it. I'm a rather lazy person on the weekends and I'd like to take as good care of my Edge as I can without having to spend hours washing, waxing, etc. What are the groups suggestions for an over-the-counter type car wash for me to use? Any other suggestions as far as waxes, tire treatments etc. would also be appreciated.

I was at the Mercedes dealership yesterday and they had a C63 AMG with the matte finish paint. It was silver and in the sun you could still see it was a metallic paint but it had no shine. I thought it looked great but my wife wasn't that crazy about it. It really is a personal preference. The salesman said it took special cleaners to take care of it because it would be easy to cause it to turn shiny if it was treated incorrectly which would require repainting. It was a $4000 option!

I ordered a set from Weathertech on 9/6 and a couple of days later got an email saying they were backordered 2-3 weeks. Still waiting. Of course now it looks like we're through with our 90 degree plus days, go figure.

Are you using some online source for these part numbers? If so I'd really love a link to it. I'm curious about part numbers for parts to upgrade my 2010 6 disc radio to a nav system.

Do you have the part number for the 2010 nav unit? I'm not having much luck locating a 2010 unit on eBay. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms or something.

Would the less expensive XXXX920BT be a better choice? It does include a nice set of component speakers although I'm not sure where I'd put the tweeters, don't want to start hacking up the A pillars.

I knew there was a flaw in my great idea. :angry: Yeah, that's exactly what is missing from the Edge radio, the 10 buttons like I have on my Plug and Play unit I use in my tractor at work.

You know, I just spent a couple of hours mowing my lawn, thinking about this and I realized what I need instead of the nav system is an Android app that can connect by bluetooth to the Sync system and control the Sirius radio with the touchscreen on the phone. That would be perfect and much less expensive.
