A fix for the braking issue. Drive as you normally do, just keep an extra 20 feet of separation between you and any stationary objects.

Any software system can be modified. It may take some digging. I'm sure there are maintenance access codes and ways to re-program the Nav box. Just need a tech here with Ford document access to achieve it.
