  1. Something in my shifter is making a rattle noise. I can't quite tell if it's the "trigger", the O/D button, or something else, but it's a very plasticy rattle. Stops when I have my hand on the shifter (which I do a lot. hard to give up the 5-spd habits.) Anyone else had this? Is there a way to carefully take the shifter "knob" (if you can call it that) apart? Thanks!
  2. Talked with them yesterday and sounds like they just haven't updated the website in a little while. They have the measurements for the Edge emblems on their end and seem very willing to do custom overlays.
  3. Has anyone seen good overlays for the Ford emblems? I know http://www.webxtremes.com/ will do them, but apparently they won't do registered/trademarked stuff (and I understand why, so no gripes with them for that). However, I'm looking to do a custom college related overlay. I suppose I could always get a plain color and paint or add stickers/decals, but if it can all be done professionally it would likely look better. So, any other custom overlay places out there?
  4. Hmmm, still haven't been able to find it. I did find a 1/2" ring terminal though, so that'll fit around the seat bolt. Just need to sand the paint off! Thanks though!
  5. Is it on the floor behind the driver's side rear seat? Haven't seen anything other than those huge seat bolts.
  6. Where have people been grounding their amps? The rear seat bolts seem like an obvoius option, but just seeing if there were other good spots. Speaking of the seat bolts, anyone know the size ring terminal for those? Thanks!
  7. Looking to add RCA output to the stock 6-disc/mp3 4-speaker stereo. Hate all the wire splicing, so thought this looked like a viable alternative. Anyone have any comments, reviews, etc about the product? http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.as...p;CategoryID=28
  8. I really liked the way Duplicolor's Metal Specks red looked on the old car. I would likely go with their Sparkle Silver. The image below is obviously not car related, but gives a good idea of what the finished product looks like.
  9. Thanks, Lex. I'll see what I can find. I do love the look of some of those trim kits, but for me, hard to beat the $10 in paint, $10 in clearcoat, and the custom job :-)
  10. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm talking about the trim piece around the window buttons. On my old car, you could just slip a small flathead under them and pop them off pretty easily, but they were just thin plastic pieces. On the left in the picture below. The ones on the Edge are a bit thicker.
  11. Hey all! New owner of an 08 SEL and looking to do a few simple things. Have the full black interior with silver dash trim, but want to continue that silver color in a few other places. First spot to paint is the switch plates on all four doors. Any idea how to get them off (clips, hidden screw, etc)?
