Just got my HIDS isntalled with a relay kit. Worked out pretty well but I had to rig it a big since the connector I got was just a bit bigger than the stock headlamp. I couldnt find a converter anywhere. If any one wants pics of how there installed. 120 plus 2 sided 3m tape and thats about it.

You would think that the ford add on alamr would just plug into a harness but iI guess that is just too much to ask. Still dont know what to do. I like the IR sensor to see what is being moved around in the car on the Ford alarm.

The first dropped the front suspension to relax it. They then aligned it and tightened it while aligning. Maybee its the other way around. I cant find the TSB anywhere and dont know what parts. The guy was out to lunch and I didnt want to wait until the tech got back to find out. It does drive a little better now but still drifts a bit to the right. Shouldnt on a new car.

Vent Shades for windows

I think you can get a whole set from Weathertech. I dont think it even uses adhesives from what the install videos are saying. Easy on and Off. There a little more expensive than the other brands but looks like a better deal for me. -
So, I am new to FWD cars for the last 6 years. Been driving Exploders and F150s. I noticed my Edge kinda likes to go to the right and I have to slighly hold my wheel to the left. A little annoying for a new car. I didnt know if it was the shape of the roads or what. I took it in to get my rear moonroof plastic fixed also since it kept falling off also. They said that there is a TSB for the alignment issue and they had to order a bunch of parts that were unfortunately on backorder. They are going to call me when they come in. Has anybody experienced this or know what the hek they are going to replace? There was a list of 5-10 parts. Hope it fixes it.

I saw an alarm through ford for our cars for about 130 that uses the same keyfob. It uses IR for the perimeter alarm. Does any one have it or have installed it. I wonder if it uses a harrness or if it has to be wired. The good old dealership wants 300 with install. I think thats a bit much. Anybody?

Sounds good. Now I have to find a place to put my amp but still have storage abilities. Any ideas.

WOAH

Anybody??? Maybee I should just build a raised floor for the back with the amp embedded into the floor. That would make it even. Where the back of the seats meet the new floor, ill have a hinge with wood that would make the back even so I can put stuff or even camp in. the amp could be a heater.

Aftermarket Thule or Yakima Roof Rack ?

If you have a hitch, you should buy one of those hitch bike carrier. I have a cool one but I have not hitch yet. they work great and shouldnt affect your MPG any since it doesnt really affect airflow. Good times. -
The dealership wants 750 with install. I told them they were crazy. They told me to wait for aftermarket parts. I found hitches with cabling for about 200 shipped. Ill prob get one. What is the difference between our cars and the ones with the trailer package. It says there is a tranny cooler, larger cooling system and a battery. Is this such a huge difference.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket amp yet? I was needing a little help on getting power wire from the engine bay through the firewall. I cant find a grommet/hole anywhere. Where would be a good place to mount an amp? Im thinking about installing a Pioneer amp and a bazooka tube. Low profile and good sound from what i heard. I dont want it loud, just good.

If anyone is intrested in a aftermarket hitch. I found one made by drawtite P/N 75526. Ill prob get one. Ill prob have to install an tranny oil cooler and the good ol electric plug. Any suggestions on how to get it done?

Our friends overseas at OPEC decided to cut production late last year or early this year. Even though demand is going up, they want to profit. Then, you have the good old oil boys that dont really want new refineries built since it costs money and they will lose money if there is more gas on the market. Then we have good old global warming or el nino that is causing the stupid gas traders to freak out about storms in the gulf this season. Dont want another Katrina type storm or well have 5 dollar gas soon. We need to go electric and use the resources we have in the US. We have I believe the most coal resources in this country than anywhere else. And lets get this oil in rock thing going since there is more oil in rock in the US than anywhere that they have found yet. But its expensive to extract, its probably ok now since gas is so high. Good times. Im happy since I am paying 50 a tank of gas than my 06 F150 which would be about 90 for 300 miles. That makes me happy.

Where did you mount the ballasts?
-
My F150 had a tuner and it responded better and I got better MPG. But I was on it more so the MPG went down. It makes the motor more efficient. I wonder if theyll have one for this car. Since this motor is supposed to be in half of all cars or something sold in the future. Only time will tell. I cant wait to see what the aftermarket has for us.

Hopefully they can get to producing ethanol off switchgrass. It will probably take a while but when it comes itll be good. Food prices should go down and well all be happy. I just dont like giving my money away to countries overseas where we can keep money in this country. Just my thinking.

I guess there the floorliner. It fronts cover the whole carpet up there, from side to side. Then the backs cover quite a bit of space. The fronts can probably hold 2 gallons of water or more. The back, itll catch a lot. Keep the mud off my carpet. It doesnt feel as warm with carpets, but for cleanliness, im good.
