I bet the guys that ford buys the seals from will not be able to ship my part when needed. Might be time to get an attorney and get an 08 edge or mkx. Anybody knows Fords main customer contact line. It must be hidden in the website somewhere

Well the smell and the leak is back. I just called and they said that there is a new seal in the pdu or whatever that they have to order. Its backordered until at least Monday. My car is going to be in the shop a total of 24 days next wed, when they think their going to have my car back. Anyone else running into this problem. Shop told me that another one came in with the same problem today. The advisor stated that he hasnt seen it before. Anybody know fords main Customer Service number for problem issues. Its time for the Lemon Law.

My car went to the shop for 11 working days just 2 weeks ago? I had a burning smell and they said it was a transfer case or PDU seal leakage. The flashed my computer and then stated that the slip from 1-2 on the tranny is gone. It use to shift hard (like the tranny was falling out) from gear 1-2 when everything is cold. That was under any kind of load. Now, during load ( like up a hill or something), it fits fine, but when on flat ground, it doesnt extend its run in first gear to where it shoulds and shifts super early and a clunk happends. Has anybody had the same probs and got it fixed. I got to bring it back again on Tuesday. So far 14 days in the shop in the first 6 months. If they have it for another 16 days in the next 6 months, lemon law and ill get a new edge. Should have waited till they got the kinks out before buying a new model.

Has anybody done this yet? Its a great alternative to the stock nav system. Would be nice if it had a sync like product. I cant seem to get my AM to work. Does anyone have the same problem with the AVICD3

Im using 4300s and there just right. I think the rest are a little too blue/purpleish. I use a relay kit on mine. 20 bucks from EBAY. Works great. Is anyone having problems. My left light keeps flickering when i first turn them on. Dont know if its the bulb or the ballast. Hopefully the bulb. What do you guys think? Other than that, my lights are great.

My computer was reflashed and it still shifts hard in the morning. Its a little rough after work but not as bad as the morning thunder shift. Going back to the shop for a second time. BOOOO.

Has anybody had the Fordman flash your computer. I had mine done last week and noticed it does shift much better. Anybody agree

Its a fun vehicle to drive. It rides well, I can put all I need in it and it doesnt kill me on gas. It also looks sex and I get a lot of looks and compliments.

No. Does this happen often. I still get a horrible smell but i can tell its starting to burn off. I have to crack my window since the smell is overwhelming when the car is at a standstill. Anybody have this prob.

I just got my car back after 2 weeks. There was a seal or something between something and the PTU. It was causing a leak onto my exhaust creating a wicked smell. The leak has been fixed. I dont even know what all they replaced. My slip doesnt say that the PTU was replaced but I was told it did from the Service Advisor. Did you guys have the burn oil smell and how long did it last. The replaced a gasket, seal and a service kit of some kind.

With your brake / parking lights and signal, do you need a relay that will cause the signal to be normall instead of fast with less resistance from LED lights. Are the 2007 LED high mount also?

I was waiting to see what people come up with for light bulbs. I really want to get my front signal lights all LED, 2 rear side marker on the rear light assembly, LED brakelights, LED high mount brake lights, interior, puddle lights.

I dont really see any realy braking problems. When I do stop going 45+, my brakes seem to drone. Is that normal? I havent driven a car based vehicle in some time. Also, has anybody heard of wierd smells and maybee a little smoke due to the brakes. I need to take it in I guess. Any thoughts?

Anybody verified the software upgrade? Is is good and does it fix anyother things than the tranny shift?

I get 22mph on the highway at about 75-85. Not bad. I get about 16 on the streets. I wish it was better. Gotta keep from getting run over in the SUBURB HOOD

Well, if anyone cares, Im going to go to the UHAUL to get one for about 200. Not bad. Better than the old for price. Not going to tow anything, just for my pretty bike rack. Ill post some pics after i get it setup.

My mats seem fine. I dont like how they become dull very soon. I put some cleaner on it to make it pretty but people keep slipping after they get in my car. I warn them but its enternatinment for me since I drove them out.

Ford wants 300 bucks for the hitch with install. Yikes. I wouldnt mind if it was 200.

I have seen many aftermarket hitches around for about 99-120. How much do you think it will take to install. It looks like youll have to take the heat shield off and cut it, drop the exhaust and a few other things. Im lazy.

I saw a nice gibson stainless steel for about 700. Ill prob go with that one. Ill have to do it or the winters will eat the exhuast alive. The aluminized just doesnt work too well out here.

I noticed that theres not too much room. They use as much room for stuff as possible which is good for the passengers. I might make a false rear cargo floor of plexiglass or some light strong composite structure so I can still put stuff but have the amp and wires underneath. Its going to take a while.

I want to replace the front yellow bulbs and rear white bulbs with LEDs. I guess i might have to find a loader. that should work. Im going to replace the hight mounts with LEDs and the license plate. Eventually ill do the inside ones.

The exhuast is now out for anybody who cares. Its about 450 or something for the aluminzed and 640 for the stainless. Ill prob go with the stainless. Where is the intake????
