Which do you think is the better choice.....

ck out evolutionperformance.com for the sct tuner for the edge....alot of edge owners on here have gotten this tuner...it is exceptional. cost $399 for the handheld tuner and 3 installed programs. -
I am getting 14.5 mpg..but the wife drives it and she goes about 40-45mph to work which is 5 miles way. But i also have 22" wheels and tires and it hurts gas mileage....looks good, but hurts.

A member posted this months ago...but thought i would re-enter it. This intake is from (weapon-r.com) and is an intake for the edge. $275.00 thru their website. I think 1 member on this site has already installed this with good hp results. Pic follows..

07 MKX....boy, i don't know about that. I have used k&n filters in all my mustangs, incl a supercharged saleen, and i never saw the problems u mention. Because i can't see inside my engine, u could have a point. But don't u think k&n has done extensive research to make sure the things u mentioned do not happen. Just an honest opinion..as is yours. I did dyno my saleen mustang after every mod (there were alot), and i did gain 10.5hp with the K&N filtercharger system.

KSN177...i saw your thread and wanted to help. I am the 1 with the 305 size tires. I went with 22" wheels and 305/40-22 tires. I also lowered mine with h&r springs like a couple of the members on here. I love the way it handles and looks. I recommend if you go with 22's, that u get a 35 series tire. My 40 series tire in the rear make an ever so slight rub up against the plastic inner fender liner at 50mph or above on big bumps (railroad tracks etc.) It does no damage, just annoying. I will change to a 35 series when these tires wear out in another 25,000 miles or so. Also...go to this website...1010 tires.com...they have a setup where u can log in your standard edge tire size, and then add 4 other sizes u are thinking of getting...u click on calculate and it will tell u the speed differance, sizes, and warns u if the size u inputed is not recomended. It is an outstanding site. Here are pics of my edge before and after lowering with the springs and then with the 22's added. Hope this all helps........ 1st photo is stock height 2nd photo is after HR springs added 3rd photo with lowering, and 22" wheels /tires.

Filmoe, my wheels are 22" luciano ($350 ea). And my tires are general uhp's, 305/40-22's.(from the tire rack, $178 ea) The ride is great. The tread is quite deep so u will hear about a 10% increase in road noise. After 2 weeks though, i do not even notice it. I suggest though u go with a 35 instaed of 40 series tire. My rear tires make a very slight rub into the plastic shielding inside the tire well at around 50 mph when hitting a pretty good bump (speed bump, railroad tracks). It does no damage to my edge...it is just annoying. I went with the 40 series because they want another $200 ea for a 35 series tire. I was hoping when i bought them that 40 would be ok. It is, but the rubbing will annoy u so spend the extra dough and get 35 series tires. Hope this helps.
