I have a 2009 Edge Limited. It has the 20" Chrome Clad wheels which are 7.5" wide. The tires are the Pielli Scorpians, P245/50R20. I am considering the purchase of some new wheels that are more my style. Most of the wheels I am considering are 20" X 8.5" wide. Can I use my old tires on the new wheels? The new wheels are 1 inch wider than my current wheels. What concerns should I have? Thanks to all who reply.

Did you get instructions? How high on the door should they be mounted? I did not get instructions with my order. Thanks. -

I received the Sportwing painted body moldings, but no installation instructions. I found this website that provides most of the information I need. What I don't have is the recommended install height measurements for the Edge. Can someone send me the measurements so I know how high on the door to install them? -

The "Service Manager" seems to be providing a big Dis-Service. I would choose a different dealer going forward. If you get an opportunity to complete a survey on your recent service visit, I would be sure to express your frustration.

I purchased the Covercraft for my Edge nearly two weeks ago from TCP Global. Still has not shipped, but they billed my credit card promptly the day I ordered. Been playing phone tag with a customer service rep to get a status.

You paid more, but you probably have more options. Did you get the Nav system and panoramic roof?

Getting ready to sign the paperwork for 09 Limited

If the payment is a concern you may want to ask about the Flex plan. It is 66 months 0%. It is not highly advertised, but available if you qualify. I took delivery of my 2009 Edge Limited yesterday. I am glad I closed the deal. So far I love it. I was driving a 9 year old Explorer. What a difference. -
If you are looking to buy a Ford product visit their website and request a brochure be mailed to you. I received the brochure and the $750 Ford Bonus Cash "coupon" within. Took about 2 weeks.

I will be taking delivery of my new Edge Limited on Friday. Thanks to all that have responded to my many questions while I moved forward through the sales process. I am sure my questions have only just begun. Regards, Steve

I will be taking delivery of my 2009 Edge Limited late this week. It does not have the Nav system. I am considering replacing the Head Unit with something nicer. Is Microsoft Sync incorporated into the factory Head Unit? Will I loose all of the Sync features if I replace the Head Unit? Thanks for your input. Regards, Steve

I have always used synthetic motor oil (Mobil 1). I will be taking delivery of my new Edge later this month. Is there any reason why I should not change the oil to Mobil 1 immediately? Also, would this have any impact on the warranty if I do it myself? I am concerned about the level of maintenance documentation Ford would require if there is ever a engine warranty issue. Regards, Steve

Was the kit easy to install?

Has anyone installed a Wood Dash Kit on their Edge? How difficult is it to install? Available at http://www.shopsar.com/ProductDetails.asp?...ode=SD%2DForEDG

I am on my own on this so your input is appreciated. I have confirmed there will be no "hidden" fees that pop up at the end of the process, so I feel like I am ready to move forward. Thanks again.

I have since learned the quote of $29451 includes the discount $3000 cash back incentive. If I took the 0% interest my actual cost would be $32,451 (plus TT&L). Considering the MSRP is $34430 does this still seem like a good deal?

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I greatly appreciate it.

I have some additional information. The dealer I am working with is Russell and Smith Ford in Houston. Their zip code is 77025. I live in Katy, TX 77494. The dealership where the car is located is Sour Lake Ford in Sour Lake TX, 77659. My dealer intends on having the car transferred to Russell and Smith Ford. From what I understand the regional incentives includes $3000 incentive cash and 0% interest up to 60 months. The VIN is 2FMDK39C59BA93339. I greatly appreciate your input. I have always bought used cars in the past. I don't want to be taken advantage of by the dealers due to my ignorance. Regards, Steve

Thanks for your feedback. I know the following about the vehicle: Total MSRP: $34430.00 My market area is Houston, TX. I am not sure what the incentive amount is or the VIN. Waiting on more info from the sales person. Regarding the sport suspension, that is what is on the invoice. I have no additional information about it.
