  1. Similar issue for my 2017 Edge Titanium. I had a break in the yellow wire (passenger side) but my parking brake still worked and got no OBD error code. All I had were the warnings on the dash of limited functionality, needing service, red error code and the yellow error icon. Guessing the yellow is ground and the unit was still able to operate as it’s grounded via the bolts. It had somehow corroded in that spot circled red in the pic, even though the wire wrapping and protection around there was in perfect shape. I trimmed it, soldered a bridge and taped it back up. Works for now but I expect in the future will need a proper replacement. The cable is around $35 at the ford dealership here. It’s good to attempt a cable replacement yourself before paying $1k+. Hopefully your actuator is in good shape and doesn’t need replacement too. Cables are super easy to get to if you take the wheel off.
