DSL6830

While driving, sometimes at random, my 07 edge Oil temperature will drop to cold, and a grinding noise will start and get worse and then stop. After it stops, the oil hits the temperature. I think it might be the timing chain. The thermostat has been replaced in the past 6 months.

It helped. But was not fixed all the way. It stopped the timing chin from falling loose.

I'm not sure ford did it.

My Edge will reach operating temperature like normal for the most part. But will drop while driving on the highway. Note it's hot and the ac is on max. and even when its off this issue is consistent. Sometimes I feel a thud while driving and the oil will be at normal temp for a while. But then drops. When my edge is having this issue running cold its a lot slower and louder. The thermostat has been replaced for the same issue earlier this year. I can't figure out what the issue is but i would like my car to last a while longer.
