I have not got to do this yet unfortunately got sick for a few days. I may be over thinking this and I do believe that tht procedure is correct and needed. However that picture I posted that is metal does that have to be removed and replaced is that the deflector all the ones I find to replace is plastic. So I am worried that, that may be part of my drive shaft or something. I just really dont want to really mess my car up to a point I CNT afford or that will cost more then what my car is worth. I apologize. I would just like to be thural with this seeing as how I am basically going into my transmission. And in experience if not covering or asking questions can cause serious damage.

YouI would like to knw what the black metal plate that spins inside my transmission where my passenger side of my 2007 Ford edge sel AWD axle shaft is suppose to seal to. some hve said transfer case n some said my differential. Or if someone could find me a diagram with numbered n description of each part would be fantastic
