2016 Edge engine compartment lower fuse box

I just viewed gary_minnesota's video on accessing the lower compartment fuse panel. It is an excellent video and solved the .mystery. QUESTION: I want to only remove the fuse for the lift gate to reset it. But it looks like accessing the lower panel will kill the power to the whole panel by first removing the 2 large connectors. Should the battery be disconnected first? If yes than that will reprogram everything whichI don't want to do.
