Just bumping this thread as I installed a new Sync3 radio and now my GPS/Carplay is location is way off. I'm planning on removing the Sync2 GPSM. I have a 2015 Ford Edge 2.0L. From what I understand, I'll need to remove the A-pillar trim on both sides, and then defroster grille panel. I'm guessing the GPSM is somewhere under there according to the files that @Haz posted. Did you do the job @Yurez?
