Hi everyone,
Just spent most of the night googling and searching this forum for information about the steering angle sensor for a 2015 Edge.
Seems like I can find the part for the 2014 and older models, but can't find it anywhere for the 2015+. Can someone please help with the part number or link to a store that sells it?
Long story short, I've had a bunch of warning and codes for a few weeks now. The Service AdvanceTrac warning, along with ABS and Traction control lights (when that happens, the steering becomes harder to turn, like loss of power steering). Sometimes I also get the torque performance calculation code.
I am trading in the car in 2 weeks and the dealership knows about these, but today I got a new one and now the car is stuck. I got the Steering Fault Service Now while going to the store. Came out 5mins later, started the car and now it says Steering Loss Stop Safely and the steering is locked.
I'm hoping it's just the angle sensor and would order one online if I could find the part number.
My bluetooth ODBII adapter with the Car Scanner app can't see any steering / traction codes so I got FORScan today but it didn't find any either. It did say my ODBII adapter isn't good enough, so I ordered the one they recommend and should have it tomorrow so I'll test that again soon.
Hoping to just get the steering working good enough to make it there and then it becomes their problem.
Hoping someone can help me figure out why I can't find the sensor online...maybe it doesn't exist? I'm tempted to take the steering apart just to pull it out and see if there's a P/N written on it :D
thanks!!
