Snub_Nose_Edge

Thank you for those portions of the service manual @Haz. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools needed to complete this, so I have to send it out to get done ☹️. I got quoted about $3,300 to have it repaired by my local Ford dealer, that was the best price I could get. I spoke with a mechanic and he did say the VCT units have an updated design that should prevent this issue in the future, I'm hopeful that is the case.

I have a 2020 Edge ST with just over 76,000 miles on it and I've noticed a rattling sound coming from the top of the engine after a cold start and any time the RPMs drop. After doing a bit of research, I found a TSB (23-2049) which basically says the VCT units may be stuck. I've been googling for days and found nobody with an Edge having this issue. There's plenty of F-150s with the issue though. Has anyone ever experienced this on their Edge? If so, how much did it cost to fix it? Do I have to pull the motor in order to do it? Should I do the timing chains as well? Thanks. 2.7L TSB.pdf
