Parts are from advance auto. I'm looking to pick up some OEM parts from a junk yard. I know 2007-2010 is kind of the right years for most things on this car. If I am looking for a 2010 would a fan in this range be correct, or could I enter my search into other years?

I have already browzed and I've seen this topic a lot. I'm assuming the replacement parts were OEM. I'm wondering if there is anything I could trouble shoot.

I'm buying this car from my older sister so I am trying to troubleshoot all the issues before I finalize purchase. 2010 Ford edge limited 2WD My sister had issues with over heating and had the radiator fan replaced. It took like 4 trips to the mechanic to get the fan to turn on when the car was hot enough. The latest fix was a zip tie on the connection. So far so good. No over heating in the past few weeks. I noticed yesterday that the AC does not turn on until a few minutes into a drive. I tried moving around the relays and checking the fuses. I haven't found anything. The fan is not turning on when idling and therefore no AC. Any suggestions on other things to check. I'm not used to working on cars. I work on pedicabs normally so I'm way out of my norm. Talk to me like a small child please.
