OOHHH pick your own adventure!! Judging by the winter grime on your car, someone slipped and hit a tree or mailbox. -
This one has been fun! 2020 Edge ST I do not have steps to replicate but what I am noticing every now and then, maybe once a week, maybe once every two weeks when I get in and start the car, my wheel and seat do not move into position. The seat back can be adjusted, the steering wheel can be adjusted. The seat will not move forwards or backwards. Then, it will just work again like nothing happened. Today, the seat is not moving when I press the memory recall buttons. My mirrors and steering wheel will move but not the seat. I've done some googling and see that other folks have had problems with Ford seats not moving but these seemed to be related to a fuse or switch. Any thoughts?

Please enlighten me on where to find anything about the PTU, diffs, transmission. https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?variantid=7056&languageCode=en&countryCode=USA&Uid=G2063585&ProcUid=G2063586&userMarket=USA&div=f&vCode=2FMPK4AP1LBB55974&vFilteringEnabled=True&buildtype=web

Greetings, I am looking for something which indicates when fluids need to be changed. For example, when would I need to change fluid in any of the systems? I am looking at the owners manual and am not seeing anything about the differentials, PTU or other systems outside of oil. Does someone have a chart of intervals for maintenance needed on the edge? Thanks!

I am having a challenge finding a usb thumb drive which works with Sync 3. I've tried several thumb drives in different sizes and file systems but I continue to encounter "unsupported USB device, please remove." Am curious for anyone using a thumb drive, what is the make and model? I have a plethora of MP3 files I'd like to play from the drive. Almost was going to burn a CD but there is no optical drive in my car🤣

Attempted to install a CVF intercooler. Attempted. They didn't put threads on the end tank for the map sensor...😮 -

Disabling the ANC disables fake engine sounds per forscan posts. I also needed to disable ANC to accommodate an aftermarket sub. -
What ford suggests for the ecoboost motors: Engine Oil - SAE 5W-30 - Synthetic Blend Motor Oil XO-5W30-Q1SP I am honestly shocked they suggest a blended oil, for sure though it would be full syn.

The card has no annual fee and cash back is basically free money for using the card. You would have spent the money either way but get a perk in the form of cash back. Slap a rebate on top and bam.

I also use Pennzoil...my hack for free oil is wait for a rebate and buy with cash back points so I essentially get free oil. Check Pennzoil's site for a rebate form, it will list which retailers you can claim the rebate for. https://www.pennzoil.com/en_us/promotions/do-it-yourself-oil-change/pennzoil-platinum-rewards-national-promotion.html

Comprehensive List of Possible Forscan Mods?

Except to a point you need all of this BS because of how much BS has been cooked in. I was in awe the first time I connected to forscan with this car. Oh my modules...coming from older Fords it has be stepping with care. I have a text document of all changes made, when, and why so if something goes sideways we can back track. There simply is not a lot of "must have" forscan changes for the Edge. I've seen many change the number of blinks the blinker makes when tapping it and just hold mine down while I do a pass/turn. I wouldn't mind some more IPC stuff but it's working as it should so why mess with it? Normally I am a "void the warranty" kind of guy but maybe I am getting old. -

If it was me, I would document the original setting and try it. The one thing I think I read about disabling the start/stop is that the battery management is disabled which I personally would not do. Maybe I am wrong. -

There's a TON of grounds on the Edge and they are all painted over with a bolt going through them. I can only imagine if this thing was 20 years old trying to chase electrical gremlins. I installed the amp.sub today. Since I don't have enough power to really drive it, it is fused at 150a. The wires are extra long intentionally as this is temporary. Longer term the amp and LOC will go under the carpet but that's a project for another day. Initial impression: That's a lot of bass. Might be a little heavy for the factory speakers to keep up but Pink Floyd and Fear Factory are just about right. -
My car did not come with a manual (should it have?) and I ended up buying a used one off ebay. IDK if the ST trim got it's own manual or addendums, I just got an "edge" manual and have read a good portion of it. Something I do with all the vehicles I buy. You can see manuals online here(I think there was a PDF version if you wanted to print it): https://www.ford.com/support/owner-manuals/ Despite being an 80's baby I still enjoy flipping paper and the feel of a #2 pencil on paper😉

Right now the ground is going to the floor right behind the rear seat. You want ground wires short, there is def no room to run another 1/0 cable run along side the power wire. This amp will pull 250-300+ amps at 1ohm. Here is an amp dyno by Williston Audio and he is using a clamp gauge during the tests: After sleeping on it I think I am going to add a ground wire from the seat belt bolt to the sheet metal ground I am using. -

OK, rather than some smart ass remarks, I'll share more of what is going on with the power wire. I find that the factory system is boomy but lacks that bottom end punch. My goal is to keep the factory sub and add in something more substantial. First, we added a ground wire today. I saw some folks were running a ground wire to where the amp is in the back of the hatch. That's not for me, I like shorter grounds for my amps. Wire wheel'd both sides where the ring terminal bolts in, not sure that I really like how thin the metal is, but the seat bolt was not giving me a good clean connection. I am going to sleep on this as I am still not fully sold on this ground point. Maybe I will take out the back seats and clean up the seat belt bolts to see if we can get a more robust connection. OH I found this, too...I've not had my edge long and noted that the hold down for the spare tire was missing, there is still part of the hold down missing. This was under the rear seat. Shitty styrofoam put back. The speaker wire is tied into the factory sub. Everything is intentionally extra long. I've got some plans to replace all of the styrofoam with something else. More on that later. Some goodies, the power wire is already installed. Sonic Electronix shorted me on a fuse block so I am stuck waiting on them 🙄 You can also see the slice in the power wire bag FROM THEM. It came that way. Thankfully the power wire was not nicked. The power wire is to support these two guys. I have a sub as well which is slated for installation. To really maximize the amp/sub I really need more alternator, this amp will pull some serious power and I'm afraid that 210a simply isn't enough 🤣 Edit: I guess the forum software has decided I need this pic twice. I delete it, and it comes right back. GG forum software. -
FYI...you will also need a brake controller for the 7 pin, converting the 4 pin to 7 pin doesn't magically add a trailer brake.
