I had my 2010 Ford Edge taken to a Ford Dealer for an oil change. While changing the oil the tech noticed a problem with the drive shaft, the center bearing is shot. They pointed this out to me and allowed me to take a picture of the sticker on the drive shaft. Reviewing some videos this seems like an easy thing to do. So I got a quote from the dealer for a replacement that would cost $1800 (and only 1 left). Unfortunately this where the fun begins and my question arises. The part number I was given (DT4Z-4R602-A) does not match the part number (9T43-4K145-AA) that is on the current drive shaft (pic attached). Researching also being up part number 9T4Z-4R602-A, which appears to be a superseded by DT4Z. So if anyone has replaced their drive shaft on a 2008-2010 Ford Edge, do you know what part number you used? Also which brand did you pick?
