  2. I go to Riverview Ford in Oswego where I bought it. They are awesome there, no complaints. Just not sure how the tech can say it drives fine when my fiancee who is a mechanic says it is not fine. He feels the shift points are off at the very least. The Focus they loaned me had more oomph than my Edge. And my 2008 Edge was very zippy. And we do not remember this Edge driving like this when I got it. Over the weekend and today I noticed a whole new and different feeling at higher speeds. This weekend I am going to ask to drive another Edge to see for myself. And if that is how it is then I think a different vehicle may be the only solution. To have no power to pass traffic or to be able to hit the gas and have it respond is not good.
  3. I have a 2012 Limited AWD. In June it was a mess so I took it in. They said the computer had come undone. So they fixed it and the tailgate started working correctly etc. However, the issue of rough shifting stayed. And this past Saturday I got home to the Edge smelling horrible and leaking oil, the telltale PTU smell. Took it in yesterday and sure enough it was the PTU leaking. They fixed that but said the shifting and accelerating issue I am complaining about is all in my head. There is a TSB that I found for this issue for the 2011's but not the '12. What happens is that when I turn a corner or speed up from a very slow speed, like if I slow down for someone turning, it will not accelerate. If I push it to accelerate it kicks and throws me back in the seat. It accelerates very slow, like it is struggling. There is also no passing gear so on the tollway or anywhere for that matter you cannot hit the gas and get out of the way. It runs pretty good if you drive it in manual. Has anyone experienced this? I can't take it anymore and if it cannot be fixed it will be traded in. I told the dealer if it is running so well you will give me a good trade, right? Thanks for any info or thoughts.
  4. Is anyone able to help me get a part number? I have a 2012 and the rear Ford Oval on the tailgate is damaged and I would like to replace it. Dealer parts department says they do not know what part that is. Wants me to come in and look at pictures of them, like that will solve it. I am under the impression that the oval is a single piece that can be removed if the tailgate inside panel is removed. Please correct me if I am wrong. Is this a stand alone part and does anyone have a part number? Thanks.

  6. I have been experiencing similar things on my 12. Does not want to accellerate until it gets going and it jumps when trying to get it to go. I will try to get the tsb mentioned above.

  8. Gas mileage has not seemed to suffer in the last couple of weeks. One tank lasted about 9 days and the other over a week which is about average if I don't drive more than my normal routine. It was like a switch was flipped, struggled for two weeks and suddenly it was fine. Felt good today too. Had to show a guy where to stick his Malibu.
  9. This will sound rediculous but I have to ask. I have a 2012 Limited. Two weeks ago I took it to the dealer for an oil change and a new tire. Since then, I had noticed it struggling to accelerate. If I was stopped it was hard to get going. If I had to slow down and then get back up to speed it would have trouble, seemed to not gain speed, chugging. The other thing it was doing was if I would let off the gas to coast it felt like a force was pulling on it and slowing it down super fast or like a wheel was dragging or something. Sorry if my descriptions are hard to follow. Anyway, I had it on the tollway yesterday and it was doing all of these things. At one point the Vehicle Health Report reminder came on. For the last week or so I have been telling it 'later'. Thinking maybe it would report something I pressed yes. Report came back fine. Immediately after it ran the report the car started running fine and seems fine today, feels very powerful and quick like before. Thought I had besides needing a reflash or some other major issue was a bad tank of gas. I always use mid grade. In the two weeks that it has been giving me trouble I got gas from different places so I mostly ruled that out. I managed to burn the tank yesterday so I filled up with premium today just for yucks. Thoughts?
  10. Not understanding how a 4 cylinder is a V6. Not the same thing.
  11. My new tire was only $171.00. Dealer was the same or less than the tire stores and Tire Rack.

  14. I have a 2012 with 20" rims and Pirelli Scorpion tires. I need to look through my owners manual, but thought I may get a quick answer this way. Is there any road hazzard warranty built in or would that be something I would have had to buy seperately? I thought maybe it came with one year of road hazzard through Ford or Pirelli. Thanks for any info.
