The two bolts on the front of the compressor are fine, and frankly I do not know how long it has been like this. Is there any reason to worry about it falling off?
I am going to have to replace the compressor myself at this point if i want the ac to work again.
The ac compressor on my 2011 ford edge needs to changed and when I took it in to the mechanic they wouldn’t do the job because the bracket for rear bolt is broken. I’ve attached a picture from a YouTube video for reference. The yellow box is the part and the red line is where it broke off. Is there anything that can be done?
reviving an old post, do you remember how you were able to identify that this was the issue?
My 2011 Edge just started doing the same thing. Also getting a message about the fuel lid, not sure of the exact verbiage. The stalling just started today while the fuel lid message is about a week old.
Another strange issue was that the breaks were hard to press down for a bit but eventually went back to normal.
