So, I went ahead and replaced the swaybar end links, and because I'm a glutton for punishment, I did the swaybar mount bushings as well... Things I learned today: 1. the bushings were definitely the culprit. 2. That is NOT a job to be done with a jack and a couple of jack-stands. The left side was a pain in the a**. The right side took almost 2 hours to do.
I think a Ford shop would probably pull the motor to do those, there's only about 3/8" clearance between the bracket and the steering rack.
Wouldn't recommend
About 5 years ago, I put Xenon bulbs in my wife's '16 SEL, while brighter, we still can't see sh## infront of us, I feel the little chrome caps inside the headlight is to blame. Before I start trying to yank it out of there, just wondering if anyone else has done this?
Wife's car started squeaking from left front wheel, over bumps and when steering. Front suspension seems nice and tight, lubed the control arm bushings, upper strut mounts, and the links between the upper and lower control arms. The noise went away for about 100km, now it's back with a vengeance. I fear it's the rack and pinion assembly... It has 125000 well maintained kilometers on it, what else might be to blame?
