Hi! I was wondering if you could share what the part was? I'm having the same exact issue with my 2016 Ford edge and have already paid diagnostic fees from the dealership only to have them be clueless as to the problem. I just had the engine light come on as well and got the same error code as you had P1016. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i was told I need to pay for diagnostics fees every time I bring it in (even though it's for the same issue every time which is frustrating!).
