  1. @antb97 I haven't figured it out, but like you I believe it's one of the turbos. It seems to pool up in one while at low rpm after running at highway speed for a while, then it blows smoke when I step on it again. I'm learning it uses oil at a certain rate, so as long as I keep an eye on it, should be ok (for now..) For the coolant issue you have, I found a PTU coolant line rubbing on the RH frame that was leaking. Replaced it myself with no shortage of cursing. New lines were maybe $180? Damn thing was close to stranding me somewhere. Look on the inboard subframe, close to the front passenger tire.
  2. By hamster wheel, I'm assuming you mean the HVAC fan. It's definitely not that. It's a suspension noise. I just put new rotors and pads on the front, got a good look at the CV boots, they are in good shape, at least from the outside.
  3. I have a squeak that comes from my front suspension. It is not related to steering as it happens in any direction. It's an odd one because it only happens when everything is warm, I haven't heard it all winter. I actually forgot about it until it was 85 today and I drove for a few hours. I suspect that there are some rubber/elastomeric bushings that are loose, but I really don't know how that would only be apparent when it's all warm. Has anyone heard of this or experienced it themselves? I've searched google and this forum and have so far come up empty handed with any ideas. Thanks.
  4. I've heard of forscan, but what is it? I'm assuming some kind of Ford specific OBD hardware/software judging by the context. Thanks
  5. Please redirect if this has been discussed or solved before. My 2019 Edge ST has the cross traffic alert. It can be turned off using the instrument panel settings, but it's temporary. I'd like to disable it permanently. I seem to remember seeing something about jumping the wiring so that it does not detect, and also does not give you an error message on the display. My gripe is that, for example, when I'm backing in my driveway I get that annoying BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP for the cars that are across the street and in front of me. When I'm in reverse... I can't recall when it alerts me any other time. I'm not above installing jumper wires or modifying plugs to make this go away.
  6. Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Please re-direct if so. Does anyone know if the Edge ST (mine's a '19) has a block heater? I saw a video showing a plug on the left side of the front bumper on a more standard Edge, but mine doesn't have that. Hidden in the engine bay maybe? If not, I'm happy to install aftermarket if anyone has is happy with their own findings. Thanks!
  7. Please redirect me if this topic has been discussed. My 2019 Edge ST with the 2.7L ecoboost is consuming oil. It has used about 1.5 quarts in about 2,600 miles. I have done some searching, and while I find the same issue, there only seems to be articles and a Ford TSB for the 2016-2017 Edge/Fusion and Lincoln models as well as the F-150, all with the 2.7l engine from that generation. Does anyone have any knowledge of this with the current engine, or is mine a unique case? Seems a bit too coincidental that mine has the same problem as this previous gen engine. Info is appreciated, thank you! Current mileage about 70,400
