What is the recall number ? When was this issued ? Do you have a TSB # ? Sorry for all the questions, just would love to have the irritating issues with this liftgate solved.

Tire shine has silicone in it and can break down the plastic. I have not used "Ice" due to the fact that I find it hard to believe that you can use it on every surface of the car. What kind of finish does it produce when used on the bottom plastic molding on the doors? This plastic gets nasty and it's a bitch to clean....so does the "Ice" protect the plastic and make the dirt and road crap not stick ?

I too find it hard to believe that the Ford recommended fluid change of the trans fluid is at 150,000 miles !!! I will be changing my trans fluid at 50,000 to reduce the accumulation of debris on the filter. 150,000 miles is a lot of accumulated debris on an apparent "unserviceable" filter. It can be changed, but who wants to tear a tranny apart to change a filter. Besides the filter will last at least until the extended warranty runs out :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I had the battery replaced on the Edge @ 15,000. It was completely dead and did take a charge and ran normally. Dealer replaced battery anyway.

You could always add and aftermarket trans cooler and install an in-line filter before the cooler.

The interior is very classy and ergonomic........you would never expect this truck to have that kind of interior. They would have been much better off putting the supercharged 5.4 litre engine from the lightning. I agree, that grille is Fugly !

Water flows in the upper from the block , through the radiator and out the lower back into the block.

The edge does not have seat filters as they do not have cooled seats.

I thought all gas had 10% ethanol. If you can tell me where to go to receive straight fuel....I am there.

The code that was thrown will be stored in the computer whether the light is on or not. The dealer should take care of this issue that you are having.

He said there is no drain plug .....you say there is....someone is "100%" wrong.

Okay, So I was incorrect. I am glad that the pan actually has a drain plug.....my Mustang does not. Considering the manual says to change the trans fluid after 100,000 I will be performing this @ 50,000 with either a synthetic blend or full synthetic with an added friction modifier. Can anyone recommend a good synthetic trans fluid ? You may want to remove the pan anyway.....1.) To clean the sediment from the pan and clean the magnet that is attached to the pan..also, you may want to replace the trans fluid filter.

I had an issue where the liftgate just decided to open on its own and I didn't realize it was open until a mile down the road......I almost lost a case of beer !!!! Only happened once.....now it;s back to "ding ding ding' UPON FULL OPEN.

The Edge is no Mustang......but compared to the handling of an explorer, it is night and day.

The glare issue is a result of the extreme rake of the windshield. This was done to make the CUV more aerodynamic thusly increasing MPG's due to less resistance. It is just something we have to deal with.

How did you get the snorkel off the side of the air box ? I tried twisting that beeotch so hard, I think I popped a blood vessel in my forehead. Thanks.
