  1. We are at 96K miles on our 2016 Edge, and I know what the owners manual says but was wondering what others have experienced as far as any failures, etc or maintenance they have done at the 100K mile mark. For history, our Edge got a new engine at 71K miles due to the infamous coolant intrusion issue (thank you Carmax warranty), and my aggressive maintenance schedule has been full synthetic oil changes every 5K miles, air filter every 30K miles, transfer case fluid changes every 30-40k miles as long as we've owned it. When they did the engine, the coolant was obivously replaced, and I had them change the transmission fluid. What am I missing or should have on the radar? Appreciate hearing from those with a lot more miles what your experiences have been.
  2. Yes this has happened to many if you search around - the crack in the block was likely the coolant instrusion noted in the Technical Service Bulliten. Happened to our 2016 last August right at 70,000 miles. Carmax extended warranty saved us $8K in repair costs, and it was at the dealership for about a month for the engine replacement.
  3. Update - was out of commission for 3 weeks at the Ford dealer but just got it back with a new 2022 Valencia produced long block. Thanks to Carmax warranty was $300 instead of the $7,940 total on the 6 page bill.
  4. Add another one to the list. 2016, just turned 70K miles, and thankfully got the Carmax Maxcare warranty. Maintained to a tee like all my cars. Had a rough idle, and then a day later a CEL. Opened the hood and was astounded to find the coolant resevoir almost empty. Pulled codes and got the P301, then looked on here and knew I had an issue. Must have started pretty quickly - I always eyeball the coolant tanks when checking oil, etc under the hood. It's been at the Ford dealer for 8 days, still waiting for the Maxcare warranty inspector to go visit and confirm it's toast (Dealer said they have to do this all the time).
