bhamraS97 started following 2018 Ford Edge No Rear Tweeter Wire , 2018 Ford Edge Rear view mirror rattle , 2018 Ford Edge Front speaker upgrade and 3 others

Hi All, I have a rattle in my rear view mirror. The music used to shake the mirror and eventually seems like it developed a rattle. The base where the mirror attaches to the windshield is secure. The mirror itself (where you adjust by hand) rattles. Is there a fix to this? Any suggestions/help is much appreciated Thanks in advance

Hi All, Firstly, I have a 9 speaker ford stock speaker setup. I have been running Rockford 3-way in rears and I am pretty satisfied with sound. The stock would sound distorted at higher volumes, these don't so far Recently, I was listening to music around 22 volume and +5 bass, the stock front speaker sounded fine till 20 but at 22 I could feel the front speaker distort, whereas rear seemed just fine. (Just to add my fader is just +3 from rear) Now, I want to upgrade the front as well but after some research, the best way would be to go with component and I am quite inclined towards these (since I am on a budget). However, I am not willing to change the stock tweeters since from some videos they seem to require modifications but that's for later. Before that, I am wanted to check if the front doors have crossovers installed from factory? And can I just replace front lower mid-range woofer with the above Rockford component woofer and call it a day? Also, what is this device on the front door panels? (I might be sounding stupid here lol) Any suggestions or guidance is welcomed!

I am an idiot! Now I remember changing it when I got the car. Feels like I forgot my car completely 😆 Thank you!

Another question, I just realized the RPM display that shows up on the right side seem to be removed This small image from internet for reference. It still has the proper big RPM display but that small one on the right is missing.

Mine is a SEL and has LED Signature lighting (those triangle one on the bumper). In Canada, we do not have configurable DRL option. Currently, my car has low beams as DRL along with the signature LED triangles. I tried enabling the functionality for configurable DRL via settings. However, after changing the mentioned things on forscan, I got the menu and can toggle the menu but the toggling does nothing. The DRL(low beam) would remain off

Hi All, I added the DRL menu to my edge left digital screen. I changed these values below https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yax6zfhZYj2joBczEeruqKh9X5Qhee3C0ngilqwTA7E/pubhtml?gid=0&single=true And enabled the menu for IPC(via non-asbuilt menu) using forscan. Now the thing is, the menu is there, I can toggle the menu but it does not turn on the DRL, the DRL stays off. Any idea what I am missing?

Adding DRL control to left instrument cluster - Canadian Edge
bhamraS97 replied to ONEDGE16's topic in 2016 Edge & MKX
Hi @ONEDGE16 I tried the Ford Focus excel sheet to enable DRL option https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yax6zfhZYj2joBczEeruqKh9X5Qhee3C0ngilqwTA7E/pubhtml?gid=0&single=true I changed But the DRL option still did not show up. Am I missing something? Please advise Update: Found my mistake (missed to update on value) -
Done Added the signature, right now don't have access to laptop so will double check later but it's a 2018 Ford Edge 3.5L V6

Hey, as from pictures from @Haz, my 2018 Ford Edge has similar layout as 2.7L model. All I did was, removing the loose middle clips on the side panels on both driver and passenger side and keep the good ones. And for the good ones I added double sided tape inbetween clips and frame to act as cushion and that worked for me. Driven 160 once and no rattle at all. Hope this helps

Hi All, I want to switch to high beam DRL instead of low beam since I upgraded to LEDs and the high beam is never used in my case so why not use it up for DRL and save the low beams for night drive. I was checking Body Control Module and found DRL related parameters. I just wanted to be sure for what needs to be updated? I have attached two option I feel needs to be changed but any advise is very much appreciated. The two parameters are Allowed DRL Options Using DRL with Turn Signals Thanks!

2018 Ford Edge No Rear Tweeter Wire
bhamraS97 replied to bhamraS97's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Hi @Haz, thank you! One clarification, from the wiring diagram, the VME39 circuit is going out from the C702 connector to C730 connector? -
2018 Ford Edge No Rear Tweeter Wire
bhamraS97 replied to bhamraS97's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Mine is the SEL Sync 3 with 9 speakers. To overcome the muddy sound on the left side I put it aftermarket speaker (https://www.crutchfield.ca/p_108R6532EM/Infinity-Reference-REF-6532ex.html) and disconnected the right side tweeter for even sound, but oblivious the bass from factory speakers were better so I wanna go back to it but want to fix the tweeter wiring first. -
Hi All, There is no rear tweeter wire on my rear left driver side door. I see wire going through the B pillar but I don't see any pigtail or wire going to the tweeter. The tweeter is there but no wire. If say there is no wire coming for tweeter could I use a T wire connector and use the Circuit VME39 and RME39 to run a wire to tweeter? Please any advise?

Hi All, I have been noticing a delay on driver side high beam. Whenever I toggle the high beam, there is slight delay on driver side. I believe it has been there since the time I swapped to LED, and I don't remember the halogen behavior as it has been a long time but passenger side is instant. I swapped to different LED brands but still the same behavior. Personally, I don't mind that much since I am using low beams for the most part but I would like to get rid of this issue Thanks in advance High_beam_delay.mp4
