  1. My wife has a 2021 Edge SE with no options, and I had a stripped down 2020 Fusion SE. Last week I traded my Fusion for a 2021 Edge SEL in Desert Gold with Dune interior. The car was previously a lease vehicle with 31,136 miles on it: my local Ford dealer bought it at auction and put four new tires, rear brakes, and new wipers on it, and did an oil change. The SEL is loaded with options - convenience package, panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, upgraded alloy wheels, and Ford all-weather floor liners. I put in an aftermarket cargo liner. I've never owned a car this well optioned, and I'm loving it.
  2. When I joined this forum around three years ago, I did so because my wife had just gotten a new 2021 Edge SE and I wanted to learn everything I could about her car. Now I have an Edge of my own: last week I traded in my 2020 Fusion SE with no options for a loaded used 2021 Edge SEL in Desert Gold with Dune interior. The car had been a lease vehicle with 31,135 miles on it: my local Ford dealer got it at an auction, and put on rear brakes, four new tires, new wipers, and performed an oil change. The front brakes passed Maryland inspection, but they have at least one warped rotor: the dealer is installing new front brakes at their expense this coming Thursday. The car was sold anywhere from $2850 to $5000 under book value, depending on where you look. It was listed as a Car Guru's Good Deal, and it has a super clean Carfax report (I actually found it on the Carfax web site). Because it was a lease, it was maintained properly. My new SEL is loaded with options: it has the convenience package; Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ with adaptive cruise control and lane centering; navigation; panoramic vista roof; heated steering wheel; upgraded alloy wheels; and Ford all-weather floor liners that came from the factory. Other than a slightly scuffed passenger outside mirror cover, likely from hitting a concrete post in a parking garage, it's in great shape. At some point in time, I might replace the scuffed mirror cover. There now are two 2021 Edges in our driveway, and I couldn't be happier.
  3. Ford stopped putting a printed manual in the 2021 Edge and put a searchable electronic copy in the vehicle that can be read on the 12" SYNC screen. It saves Ford printing costs.
  4. I've had the Pre-collision Assist feature on my 2020 Fusion activate at least three times. It was either when a car pulled out in front of me from a parking lot on to the street I was travelling on, or when a car changed lanes into my lane unexpectedly. I hit the brakes immediately each time, so the brake assist didn't have a chance to kick in. The flashing lights and the alert sound startled me the first time it went off, but I'm used to it now.
  5. Our 2021 Edge SE is my wife's car - I drive a 2020 Fusion SE. I actually prefer a sedan over an SUV.
  6. After some of our family moved away we no longer needed a seven passenger vehicle, and my wife decided to look at getting something smaller. I recommended looking at an Edge, and my wife found a brand new 2021 Edge SE AWD at our local dealer. This past Saturday my wife drove the Edge she found online, and we traded in her 2015 Explorer base model on that vehicle. My wife's old Explorer didn't have any of the new safety features, so this is a major upgrade for her. Her old SYNC system was the basic system with 4" screen, so the SYNC 4a with the 12" touch screen in the new Edge is a big improvement. And this is her first turbo charged vehicle (her Explorer was a NA V6). She is definitely happy with her new car.
