  1. I just found out that there is an updated version using Magsafe: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 Ford Edge Phone wireless charging phone mount | eBay
  2. I found this mount on ebay. It was made for and fits in the cubby hole. 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 Ford Edge Phone mount black | eBay
  3. I noticed that you have Kelly Edge tires. Was it a coincidence?
  4. There is a difference in the circumference (height) of these sizes. Aspect ratio is the percentage of the sidewall versus the tire width. Rim diameter only means that a tire will fit the rim. In the specific case above, the 275's are 8 mm taller, 10 mm wider and will revolve 7 times less per mile which will cause a slight speedometer error.
  5. I found the replacement part numbers: Left KT4Z-16103-A Right KT4Z-16102-A Around $70 each side at your favorite online Ford parts dealer.
  6. This happens on my 2020 Edge once in a awhile. When your battery reaches a status of low charge, you should see a message on your SYNC3 screen. Normally, the accessories (like the SYNC3 system) remain on until you open a door. In the low charge mode, the accessories turn off when the engine is turned off. Are you experiencing the Stop/Start function is also not working? To reset, all you need to do is to recharge your battery.
  7. I have added the hood insulation pad. It is a direct fit for my 2020. Their website shows that it fits all 2020 models (I do not know about the other years, but unless they also deleted the grommet holes, I would think it fits any model of this generation.) The part number is KT42Z16738B. The grommets are included. Should be $100. I should have added that the installation takes no time.
  8. Been looking for a cell phone mount and came across this. What do you think? 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 Ford Edge Phone mount black | eBay
  9. Groovy! Remember the Goodyear Polyglas GT? I love a challenge. Firestone makes a P245/60R18 All Terrain tire with OWL (outline white letters). I will take my tie-dye shirt with me on my way to the social security office.
  10. Are you trying to find a used set of wheels? Gosh, I would think that it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. I don't think Ford sold that many Edge's with this package. Suggest contacting a junkyard to see if they would do country-wide search for the wheels you want. They will need the year and model trim for the vehicle. fordauthority.com has a page that shows by year what wheels were available. If that fails, you may have to order from the dealer (search for the Ford dealers listed in this forum that sell parts at prices lower than other dealers.) I did find a site that says they sell only OEM rims: Premium Factory OEM Wheels | Detroit Wheel and Tire. Hard to match the wheel above versus the pictures on their site. By my untrained eye, the closest one runs $2,700 for a set of four and I am not sure if that includes shipping. See if they will give you a discount for exchanging your old rims. I wish you the best of luck.
  11. You should be able to use the search box to find previous posts about installing a Dash Cam. I don't remember that anyone mentioned piercing the firewall. There is a fuse box in the cabin.
  12. Yes, I am the old tire salesman. The closest match to the diameter of the 265/40R21 currently on your vehicle in an 18-inch rim is a 245/60R18 which is coincidentally the stock tire on other Edge trims. You did not say whether you are going to buy OEM or aftermarket rims. OEM Rims should cost around $200 and up at online Ford dealers (ymmv). I have attached the nerd specs. Doc133.pdf
  13. Yes, I can see that they fit. What I notice is that your new tire (315/35R20) is two inches less in diameter than the old tire (255/50R19.) It may cause increased wear because of the reduced diameter and a greater speedometer error.
  14. I know this is not the answer you are looking for but this is the answer that I can give you is from experience as a tire salesman. There is no guide that I know of correctly fitting wider tires to a vehicle. Purely, wider tires come with increased circumference. It is purely guesswork to see if a tire will fit. There is a concept of lower profile tires which is called plus one/two/three. Basically, you can get a higher sized rim but must keep the overall circumference of the tire the same as the OEM tire. Circumference is the most important tire measurement as the speedometer error is less and the wheel should fit in the wheel well. The OEM tire size is 265/40R21 if you have the upgraded package. The circumference is 29.35". I found a 24-inch tire which has a circumference of 29.2 inches with a profile of 25 (265/25R24). I would guess that you need to add at least $1600 for the rims. Obviously, the demand for that size of tire is not high and I found only three available manufacturers making that size (Nexen, Nitto and Lionheart.) I would guess that those tires would have a life span of about a week. In a 22-inch rim size, there is a tire with a circumference of 29.3". The tire size is 265/35R22. There are a lot of tires available in that size and most should have a better life span. Unfortunately, all of these tires have a width of around 10.4 inches.
  15. I think that you want to put the 20" rims back on your Edge, replacing the OEM tire size which is 245/50R20 with tires you found at a dealer with(24,26,27)(195,190,182)265/50R20 sized tires. I used to sell tires and here is the scoop. The 265/50R20 tires have a diameter of 30.5 inches and width of 10.4 inches. The 245/50R20 tires have a diameter of 29.7 inches and width of 9.6 inches. The 265/40R21 tires have a diameter of 29.3 inches and width of 10.4 inches. If someone wanted to do this in my old shop, we would have to mount the new tires on the wheels and see if they fit. It is really anybody's guess. Changing tire size has two side effects. Vehicles are tuned for ride quality with the OEM tire size. Changing the tire size will have an negative effect on ride quality. Also, since the number of revolutions of the new tires will not be same as the OEM tires, your speedometer will not reflect the correct speed.
  16. When I bought my extended warranty, I did a search to find other posts already made here. They suggested using dealerships that sell Ford Factory extended warranties online. The price that you quoted was probably from a local Ford dealer as I think you could get that warranty for around $1,300 (depending on your state of residence) and there is a code that gives you an additional discount of $365 for payment in full at Ziegler Ford which is where I bought mine.
  17. If I were in the market for a used AWD and the tires on the vehicle are mismatched it would raise some concerns for me. There is a lot of debate surrounding whether having mismatched tires can cause premature wear on the drivetrain of an AWD vehicle. There is even debate concerning whether to replace the entire set if one tire needs to be replaced due to a blowout or other damage, as AWD vehicles require tires with the same circumference. I am guessing that you want good wet and dry traction and a long period until replacement is necessary. Have you considered selecting the OEM Michelin tires? The ride quality of the Edge is exceptional, and the OEM Michelin tires are a part of the ride quality system.
  18. I recently scratched my Liftgate Finish Panel on my 2020 Edge SE and purchased a replacement. Has anyone here replaced theirs before? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  19. I have the same problem with my 2020. Unless I drive for at least an hour, the battery doesn't recharge enough for the auto start/stop feature to work. Short trips drain it so much that even the door lock system will eventually stop working on every door except the drivers. I had to buy a battery charger. And why is the battery located where you cannot attach a regular cable to the negative post?
  20. Tried to find a discussion about wiper blade replacement. Have a 2020 Edge and first tried Trico Premium Ceramic, but the supplied adapter would not fit. Found the part number for the Ford OEM blades: FT4Z-17528-CA and FT4Z-17528-BA and ordered online from a dealer. The blades came in Motorcraft boxes with different part numbers: WW-2760-A and WW-2755-A. These blades are available from ebay and Amazon with free shipping.
  21. I have a 2020 Edge and I have this issue. I bought a new battery six months ago. Last week, I received a message on the Sync screen to turn off accessories and all of the keyless entry system except for the driver's door was inoperative. I charged the battery and the message disappeared from the Sync screen and the keyless entry system again works on all four doors. I know most of you don't care for the stop/start system, but mine has rarely worked. I do not drive long distances so that may contribute to my problem.
  22. Here is another recommendation: Try the CarAIDE Multi-Tool Jumper Cable. I found that most portable jump starters are junk but not this one. I was at the supermarket and I saw that there was an attempt to jump a car but even with the cables attached, nothing was happening. I took out the Tool and attached it to the battery and the car immediately started up. Last week, I saw another vehicle waiting for a jump. I took out the tool again and that car immediately started. I actually now look for cars to jump. If I actually lost power in my Edge, I do not have to wait for anyone, I can jump it myself. It is that good.
  23. Have a 2020 2.4L and probably do not drive it enough (didn't foresee that I would be still working at home so I have 5,700 miles in nearly three years.) The auto start stop has rarely activated and once, it went into battery saving mode with the result that the only door that would lock/unlock was the driver's. I bought a battery charger. It would take a very long period to charge the battery. The auto start stop would work after charging on only the first trip. At stop lights info screen said battery charging. I was out of town and rented an Explorer with 45K and it had no problem with the auto start stop. The Ford Dealer said the battery was good and that I needed to brake harder. Had it tested and results were 503 CCA and 12.37 voltage. Even if the dealer said battery was no good, I would get only five percent proration if I bought a new Motorcraft battery. Researched sites (like Consumer Reports) said the Diehard Platinum AGM was the best battery available. It is sold at Advanced/CarQuest Auto Parts with free installation and if they install it, you get a 36-month full replacement warranty, plus jump service, towing and more up to $125. Also, if more than 100 miles from if you need assistance and must stay overnight, you can claim up to $250 for meal and lodging expenses. The battery is one thing that I would recommend not buying OE from Ford Dealer and also not trying to squeeze every last volt out of a battery unless you have a good set of jumper cables.
