  1. Hi there. Welcome to the forum. Do you have any pics of your car you'd like to share with us?
  2. Cool. Do you have any photos of these you could share with us? I'd love to see what those 50s cars looked like.
  3. I agree. They allow you to crack the window open without the rain getting in! They look good imo too. One of the few Edge accessories you can actually get on this side of the pond!
  4. Cool. That's not that much really considering the overall cost of the car. And you get quite a unique vehicle - big powerful engine and in left hand drive too! Are there any mods you need to make to make it legal for Spanish roads....like fitting rear fog lamps?
  5. Have you shipped your Edge from North America to Spain? That's interesting. I guess it wasn't too expensive then? The model you have, the SEL and it's engine are not available on any of the European Edges over here- they are all diesels. It'll be interesting to see how you get on and whether you have any problems getting spares and having the car serviced.
  6. Good grief! I can't believe how cheap your fuel is at just $2.95/gal. We are paying the equivalent of $7.44/gallon over here (£1.43/litre). Diesel for my Edge is even more - currently $7.65/gallon (£1.47/litre). And it's still going up. Sob!
  7. Thanks. It's definitely white noise coming from the rear of the car, rather than an underseat fan - most noticeably from the rear speakers mounted on the rear pillars. I tried the "door slightly open" test you mentioned but the white noise doesn't stop when you do that - just an annoying chime that the door is ajar!
  8. Thanks Omar. It's definitely not a low frequency noise though. It's a very annoying white noise as demonstrated by handfiler. In fact it's that annoying it makes me not want to use the A/C or heated seats!
  9. There are fans in the seats? What about the white noise when pressing the air-con button?
  10. Really? That's strange though don't you think? I wonder why Ford thinks we need white noise when we put one of the heated seats on.
  11. Hi there. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully you find someone here who can help you get your Edge back on the road.
  12. Whenever I turn on the air-con and/or heated/cooled seats in my 2018 Edge the Ford Active Noise Control (https://www.ford.co.uk/shop/research/technology/comfort-and-convenience/active-noise-control) comes on, filling the car with white noise. Turn them off, and it stops. Turn the air-con or seats back on and it starts again. Is this normal, or does it require a trip to the dealer's workshop? Any comments/suggestions welcome please.
  13. Hi there. Welcome to our forum. I hope you find it useful.....and interesting. Please share some pics of your Edge with us, if you have some.
  14. Agree. I think the rear end of the 2015-18 Edge with its lightbar looks a lot better than the 2019 facelifted model.
  15. Nice. Do you have pics of any of them you can share with us?
  16. Yes, it could be the electrics. Quite a few reports of the rear screen going as soon as the rear demister is switched on. Are you not able to have the glass replaced on your car insurance?
  17. Not even that cold! But this can also suddenly happen with just the slightest pressure or movement if the glass is under stress due to bad installation or has been has been chipped or suffered impact in the past. It's rare though as toughened (tempered) glass is so much stronger than laminated.
  18. It's a nuisance having the USBs shut down just a few minutes after turning the ignition off. Does anyone know if this can be changed using Forscan?
  19. How do you deal with all the cables....do you manage to keep them all hidden?
  20. Hi Chris, welcome to the Forum. Nice looking Edge you have there. And I agree, my Edge is best looking car I've ever owned too.
  21. Welcome to our forum Lou. Are you in Canada?
  22. You can do this on my UK spec Edge, so there's probably a setting somewhere in Forscan that will allow you to change it.
  23. Thanks, that's interesting. How exactly would it work with my music library? Does it upload all your music library to the cloud which can then be streamed back from a smartphone to the car's stereo? I tried that with Google Music and it was a mare. Syncing and updating the library and playlists took forever and wouldn't work in poor or no reception areas. Or is it done some other way?
