  1. I got the chromies and didn't pay for them. The 17's were on my sticker but HELLO 18 chromies. Kevin
  2. IZZ, you will get good gas numbers for sure. Like I stated at 80 mph on flat surface, 23-24 mpg. you will LOVE it. May want to sleep in it, I DO!! Kevin
  3. Well on my hour trip to her moms house at 60-64 mph stayed steady at 26.8-27.2 mpg. Thing is, you need to reset your averag mpg when you plan on driving for at least 2 hours. that will give you the accurate fuel reading. Can't beat it though, anyway you look at it. Kevin PS: almost at 10K miles
  4. No preouts on the deck. You can have a 8 added from factory, but not worth it. I got it because only one on lot and had everything we wanted. I will be doing a custom SQ single 10 setup. Kevin PS: Securinu, do you own the shop and where you located? Shoot me an email, I am dealer/sales rep for few companies. lowhz01@yahoo.com
  5. I want to know what our internals will take. I have a Focus for a daily beater and thought about a edge drivetrain swap in her. What is the compression, what are internals made of and so forth. If they will take boost, all I can say, I feel sorry for imports when my big orange baby is flying by . I too would like to see a Edge with some nice 35 inch tires lifted. Kevin
  6. On flat terrain, 60 mph, I see around 28-29 on highway. City is 22. Flat terrain at 80 mph see about 23 almost 24 mpg. Kevin
  7. Don't be fooled by big hp=low mpg. My 2004 mach 1 got 32 mpg on highway from GA to TN. I thought about getting Fusion as well. Kevin
  8. The only problem I have with my Edge is it gets better gas mileage than posted on sticker . I did have a small issue with the shade that covers the front of the vista roof. They replaced it in 2 days and no more problems. I love it. Quick, sporty, good gas mileage, QUIET INTERIOR, and rides like a champ. I have the SEL FWD. 9000 miles on her as well, so she has been tested. Not to mention I usually drive the crap out of my new cars to make sure they are up to my stanards on reliability. Last 4 years I had mustangs, so that will tell you how I drive. Kevin
  9. I'm taking her in today to see what's up. they better give me a loaner edge while my baby is in the shop Kevin
  10. I gots me an orange one, but not driving it today. Kevin
  11. Some edges just have 2 cubby holes in hatch and no 8" sub. If anyone is interested in an aftermarket setup, please email me and I'll help you out and give you a discount on some high quality equipment. Go to help fellow edger's out Kevin lowhz01@yahoo.com www.low-hz.com << Updating website still
  12. LOL, ya I know, I barely close it, but when the georgia sun meets the black leather, it like to roast your butt . If you will, will you close yours and see if it is attached on the sides in the track or not. Kevin
  13. Oh and I have 4300 miles on mine. Kevin
  14. Hey guys and girls, I got an SEL FWD Edge w/ 18 inch chromies and gettign 26-28 MPG on highway with speeds of 60-65. This past weekend we took a trip to Tennessee and with 4 people, and a fully loaded hatch at 80 MPH got 22 MPG. City I see 19-21. GREAT gas mileage for what she is without a doubt. I fell sorry for the 17 MPG highway Explorer's or better yet expos hehe. Kevin
  15. In my orange SEL with hte vista roof, my front shade sags a little, and jams sometimes. It will only go 5 inches and get stuck. For those of you who have the vista roof, is the sides of your shade stiched in the track or loose? I can close my shade and stick my finger around the shade and touch the glass. Let me know abotu yours. Thanks, Kevin PS: good looking forum, glad we have one for us Edge owners.
