2011 Edge 2 WD low whine from power steering

had this in one of my previous vehicles after hose replacement or losing fluid.. remedy after fluid refill was to have car in park, turn wheel all the way to the right and then all the way to the left; repeat TEN times. supposed to clear trapped air from the system
