My back windshield exploded on the way into work this morning, I have a 2015 Ford Edge SEL. Same issue described in this thread (seems to emanate from the the wiper). Unfortunately, I live in the US not Canada, so Ford said the FSA 17B39 was not valid. I asked for an explanation since (1) the car was manufactured in Canada on the same assembly line, and (2) Ford already acknowledged it was an issue (at least for those lucky folks living in Canada ) by issuing FSA 17B39. The "customer service specialist" could not provide an adequate answer, but suggested I take it to a dealer so they could "diagnose the problem." Funny thing, I had already visited the dealer who could only recommend an auto glass shop. I have been a long time Ford/Lincoln customer/fan...but this sort of silliness on a previously identified problem is beyond frustrating. Ford should remember: it is easier to keep an existing customer than [trying to] earn a new one.
