What engine do you have? Are you losing any oil? Could be the spark plug tube seals are leaking. -

Group 65 Battery in 2nd Gen Possible?
kruzr1 replied to omar302's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
Been having the symptoms of a dying battery lately. Changed the original 2 years ago. Thought I would check the battery configuration in forscan. It has the correct battery type selected as an AGM H6, but in the CCA it shows 600CCA, there is no selection for an AGM H6 760CCA. My battery has 760CCA, same as original battery. Is this going to make a difference in the charging or longevity of the battery? -
I'm sure on new vehicles with a Ford ESP it starts from day 1. So that only gives you 2 years of additional coverage past the base warranty. I purchased a similar plan to STBEAST but with a little more mileage, and paid approximately $1500. I purchased it online through a different dealer because my selling dealer wanted to sell me a third party warranty. He said the Ford warranty wasn't any good, I disagreed and still do.

Tail Light Moisture Condensation 2019-2024
kruzr1 replied to Wubster100's topic in 2019-Current Edge & Nautilius
I believe those marks are from the manufacturing process. They are not holes, does not go all the way thru, at least not on my vehicle. -
Took my Edge in to have the oil pan leak looked at. They told me they also found a leak at the front cover. The oil pan repair was immediately approved under my ESP. Ford required pictures of the front cover leak from the dealer. They eventually approved repairs. this is a 14 hour job and rather extensive. Anyone else had an issue with the front cover leaking? A little concerned it'll get put back together properly.

Just wanted to clarify on garycrist procedures concerning the refill process. The following is taken from my service manual. For me to reach that required temperature I had to drive the vehicle for awhile. Just by sitting parked and idling, the temps would not go up enough. After I had drained the fluid I refilled it with a little more than I took out before driving. Connect the diagnostic scan tool to the vehicle. Monitor the TFT PID . With the engine running in PARK on a level surface make sure the transmission is at normal operating temperature 85-93° C (185-200° F). With foot on the brake, slowly select each gear position, stopping in each position and allowing the transmission to engage. With the engine running in PARK, remove the oil leveling plug.

Possibly related to this TSB although the TSB covers 2019 - 2023.

I don't think sounduser is in the USA since he has the diesel engine? Might need to have your own scanner to check for codes. Unless they have a place like AutoZone where you live.

08MKX automatically starts byself
kruzr1 replied to Holdog101's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Just curious, does your vehicle have an aftermarket remote start system installed? -
Don't know if you completed this yet. There is a YT video of a guy changing plugs on his Fusion with the 2.7 engine. He used a bungy cord to hold that tube aside to reach the back area. That is how I did mine and it worked out great, just be easy with it. My repair manual says to remove that tube also, but I couldn't find a way to reach it either. Also, I used the newest SP-594 plugs.

Mazda recently came out with the cx70. Looks very similar to the Edge in size

I never had any recalls etc for the TCM on my 2019 ST. There were a few TSBs for software updates. The only recall I had was for the adaptive headlights.

Locked out with both keys inside
kruzr1 replied to 1004ron's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
So I just tried to lock my keys in the car and it would not. I put my key fob in a cup holder and locked the door using the lock button on the door. When I closed the door it automatically unlocked the doors and the horn honked. I do have the intelligent access feature. -

I thought it wasn't possible to lock the keys in the vehicle? Unless you use the number pad on the B pillar by pressing the 7/8 9/0 combination. That actually happened to me once when I was washing an Escape. What are the chances of pressing those buttons while washing the car! Wasn't too funny at the time, but now... lol -
Did you return the lever to the normal position, high beams off? I have used the flash to pass feature to disable/enable the auto high beams once.

Same here on my 2019. No problems

I would stay with the OEM fluids, at least while it's under warranty. Just change them more often.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
kruzr1 replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I've had this happen on my edge also but not quite as bad. I replaced the rear pads, rotors and hardware last summer. I just noticed it is happening again. Only on the rear drivers side also, sure seems kind of odd. I don't notice anything odd during braking. -
You could also use a piece of paper placed between the 2 contact areas. Adjust the stoppers until you have resistance when pulling the paper with the hood closed. I believe this method was also in a Ford SSM.

Might take a look at the sway bar links and also the strut mounts. Disregard, didn't realize you mentioned this already. Must've been half asleep.
