  1. I'd totally get a ST if I had $20k more. I'm not as fortunate as some of you all. Plus I hate leather seats. ?
  2. Only posting these for those interested in a completely chrome-less Edge SE
  3. Bonus pictures of what I did today. Amber delete on front lights, chrome vinyled over, and my muffler delete (last week) JST139 tips.
  4. It works well. Word of advice, even without the tape this thing got stuck on when I was test fitting. Broke a little tab getting it off but now that it's installed, it looks nearly perfect. You'll have to push up on the top part to hide the chrome. At extreme angles, you'll still see chrome underneath it from 3 feet or less. The area around the Ford logo has a few millimeters of space so I don't see that as a problem really. I'll keep an eye on it due to ice expansion during winter.
  5. Not exactly one day, but in the first week I've owned my 2019 Edge (currently 1 week and 3 days old and 545 miles); - Muffler delete - Blendmount/Mirrortap - ProclipUSA phone mount - AFE Dry Flow S filter - Husky mats all around - Disabled start/stop with Forscan - LED license plate lights - debadged tailgate Coming up today; Windshield strip, amber delete on front lights, and blacking out the chrome strip on the tailgate. Trim Illusions gloss black grille overlay Then I'm done... and saving up for the upcoming twins' birth in March. ??
  6. Can you share the code that was used to disable the double honk? I'm deaf and don't need it, but my neighbors and coworkers complain since I'm always opening/shutting doors carrying IT stuff around. I've already got the auto start/stop disabled and LOVE it... Just need the double honk GONE. My buddy has Forscan and a laptop, so I just need to have the code for him to do his magic. Finally I can stop annoying my neighbor at 5AM when warming up the car and loading my equipment. My parking spot is like 10 feet from his bedroom window. Funny, my old Focus ST with a loud exhaust didn't bother him until this double honking fiasco
  7. My sync doesn't seem to have a date setting in the configuration like my Focus ST does. I'm curious how would the date be set on these, especially if the battery dies? Went to settings>Clock> and only see Time and Time Zone, but no date which got me wondering how this is done? Already rebooted Sync due to it freezing on a white screen with red arrows (really weird) -- attached to this message. And then upon noticing no date setting, did a Master Reset with no change... No updates available on Ford's site at the moment, so it seems up to date.
  8. Will do! This is the picture from Trim Illusion's "Vehicle Configurator" https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/48-dpsdealers/prod/1565640530.jpg
  9. It should not. My focus ST was the same way. It just sticks on. Look at the parts diagram on Tasca parts for the ST grille and you won't see a hole/flat spot. Personally I am going for a Trim Illusions black overlay on my grille. Should be here tomorrow and I kind of like the design of the stock grille, minus the color of course.
  10. Wonder if the process is the same for a 2019? Thinking about getting a ST grille for it.
  11. Talked with a guy at a dealer and he said it should fit. Anyone know if this can be done without popping the bumper off? My Focus ST-- I could just pop the grille off.
  12. I lopped them off. MPG is the same, and the wheel well is completely enclosed. The underbody is completely covered with no weak spots. I have a feeling it is just to keep the road debris from hitting the front tires to prevent kicking them back up. Kind of like the rear flaps in front of the rear tires.
  13. Well. It just looks like little flaps that would only make aerodynamics worse. I think they are for curbs to prevent hitting them. They hang real low. It's not like I'm going to remove the entire underbody splash guard like I did on my previous Jeeps. Even the F150 has instructions from Ford on how to remove it for when off-roading.
  14. Upon further investigation, it looks like these can just be removed with some push pins. Anyone done this?
  15. Was looking online and see that the 2019 ST grille is around $270. I was wondering if this would work on a 2019 SE, and if it would be a difficult task to undertake in my quest to remove chrome.
  16. The only thing that really bothers me about my new '19 Edge is the fact that it has two giant flaps sticking down under the front end (part of the splash shield). Does this serve any function, or should I just lop them off? I don't mind losing a half mpg, but not sure.... With the commute I take to the cabin and the amounts of snow we get, I don't want to be scraping/plowing the ground.
  17. Sporty to me mean "sleek" with black accents. Kind of like the Edge ST is all blacked out. On a side note - my muffler delete has been done and it's near perfect. I was afraid it'd be too loud like my Focus ST, but it is nowhere near that.
  18. I've always hated chrome, except for exhaust tips. And I don't even have any "model" on the back of my Edge. The only badge I ever left on a vehicle was the ST on my Focus ST. I just think it looks cleaner and more sporty.
  19. Hello all. My name's Matthew, and I traded in my 2018 Focus ST for a 2019 Edge SE due to twins on the way (circa March 2020). I've always tried to join forums for my related vehicles, so here I am! ? Plans include; - Husky Floor liners and cargo liner - Windshield tint strip over the factory "blue tint" (my transition glasses don't darken while driving) - Smoked corners to hide that amber - black vinyl over the chrome strip on the lift gate (unsure if I'll go glossy or flat) - Debadging the edge and AWD decals on the lift gate - LED license plate bulbs - muffler delete with 4" Jones JST139 exhaust tips (gotta have the sound) - Blendmount/Mirrortap with my Bell Pro 200 - Proclip USA dash mount for my phone - Hopefully I'll find a black grille that fits later on - Hitch later on when needed - After tires go bald, I'll go for the new Continental TerrainContact A/T since I drive muddy inclines to the hunting cabin - A whole lotta TLC Only mod I've done so far is lower the headlight aim. I'm amazed Ford let them out the door with the headlights adjusted so high. Signs were lighting up during the day and people were flashing me.
