  1. No, really, you can't buy the all electric Mach-E now because Ford says every unit is spoken for....at least the first edition. https://www.engadget.com/2019/11/27/ford-mustang-mach-e-first-edition-sold-out-in-us/
  2. Maybe, if you put enough weight on the folded down seat back otherwise no.
  3. Are you in North America? If not, maybe the system is different where you are. I've gone through the 2019 manual (Ford online manuals) and don't see any reference to a rear passenger belt minder. There's lots of information referencing the driver and 'front' passenger belt minder. Below is a copy/paste of that information on page 36. If your manual says something different scan it and post it! BTW the visual attachment you mention in your OP isn't posted with the message. "SEATBELT REMINDER Belt-Minder™ This feature supplements the seatbelt warning function by providing additional reminders that intermittently sound a chime and illuminate the seatbelt warning lamp when you are in the driver seat or you have a front seat passenger and a seatbelt is unbuckled. The system uses information from the front passenger sensing system to determine if a front seat passenger is present and therefore potentially in need of a warning. To avoid the system turning on the Belt-Minder feature for objects you place on the front passenger seat, only the front seat passengers receive warnings as determined by the front passenger sensing system."
  4. I've never owned a vehicle with electric mirrors that didn't dribble a bit after a wash. Try this. After your normal towel dry under the hood, hatch and inside the doors (because they all drip after a wash too) tilt the mirrors all the way up or all the way in (make as large an opening as you can) then drive a block or two to let air and gravity remove loose droplets. Stop and wipe away any drips that might have hit the door. Hit your memory button to get the mirrors back where they should be. If you're home, just hit the mirror with a nice blast from a leaf blower along with all the other seams (up under the rear spoiler and behind the license plate especially) to make the rest of your drying process easier.
  5. In my (long long time) experience, things don't just fall off. Generally they're knocked off, pried off or otherwise removed by force or neglect. With both a mud flap and door panel gone I'd guess there's some abuse going on. Is someone else driving your car? Do you have winter tires on the Edge? From what I've been reading this fall they're not mandatory but very highly recommended if you'll be driving in inches deep snow.
  6. Yeh, you might not want to post your plans for insurance fraud on a very public forum
  7. Hopefully members of this forum who don't have Sync3 (2015) are aware.
  8. Hey Mr Mike, Have you checked eBay or an auto scrap yard? You should be able to find a replacement mirror though matching your color might be a challenge. There's at least one (black) posted on eBay right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Edge-Factory-Left-Door-Mirror-Heated-2015-2016-2017-2018/274044059548?hash=item3fce4c7f9c:g:JykAAOSwBXldnO70
  9. It's my understanding (I haven't actually seen it) that Waze works like a native app when an iPhone is paired with Sync I.E it just appears in the 'Apps' screen along with Pandora, Ford Pass etc. Android phones (as mentioned) need a cable for that experience. Ford has promised Android users would also have wire free Waze for their systems so I'd hoped V3.4 would offer that. After some (self inflicted) angst over the build 18092 to 19025 update I'm reluctant to jump on the 3.4 bandwagon for my '16 Edge.
  10. For those who want the latest, greatest version of Sync for their Gen2 Edges someone has come up with a way to install version 3.4 without having to jump through (too many) hoops. You'll find all the information and files you need here: https://cyanlabs.net/tutorials/update-ford-sync-3-2-2-3-0-to-version-3-4-all-years-3-4-19200/?fbclid=IwAR3j_xhNZg06dIXYp67VWEFESs4ez58lOtr7IcRtcmIaYhFl9grbT4YDHIc Is there any risk you'll brick your current Gen3.0 APIM? Probably. Can you roll back to V3.0 if you don't like 3.4? The page says maybe not. Is this for the faint of heart? Definitely not. If you decide to try it please post your experience and results (photos would be nice). Does 3.4 run faster or slower than your current 3.0? Are there some dandy features that really make this a worthwhile update? Is Waze now a native app for Android users or is it still an Android Auto only add on? Can users import their own custom backgrounds (like Sync2 users could)? Is something missing (like GT Theme) that you enjoyed with 3.0? Etc.
  11. I'm seeing this problem mentioned here (of course) and other Edge forums more than you'd think. Maybe it's because Gen2s are starting to pile on some mileage and the coolant intrusion into cylinder 2 is just making itself known. This the 2L engine only. Ford knows about the issue and issued this notification to dealers in August of this year: https://ford.oemdtc.com/4476/2-0l-ecoboost-coolant-in-cylinders-white-exhaust-smoke-and-or-illuminated-mil-2015-2019-ford-lincoln
  12. I just searched through your '07 manual looking for "reset" and "oil". While there are plenty of hits for both there is (as you noted) no mention of an oil life monitor. Your next best options are to either make a note of odometer mileage or use one of your trip meters. Maybe put a reminder in your phone to alert you every few months to check your 'miles since oil change'.
  13. Yes. It's the same solution posted in this thread. A member of the MacT Edge group posted pictures and (in another message) declared success. Here's a link (you might have to join the group if you haven't already): https://www.facebook.com/groups/MACTFORDEDGE/permalink/884667688596254/
  14. 1. Wash 2. Dry 3. Claybar (upside of BAMR, you can skip doing the whole roof) 4. Wax I'm tired. ?
  15. Then call it the Stallion-E. The point is they're trading on (and sullying) a decades old moniker. Then again, there was the Mustang II so....precedent.
  16. Probably, maybe, just a guess. With no signal the system might be holding the last known good readings for awhile. Eventually it gives up (20 miles?) and zeros out the reading. Then you pull in the garage next to your TPMS equipped tires the system says 'ah ha! readings' so it displays that number again for awhile. The big weakness in that theory would be the transmitters are supposed to go to sleep when they haven't moved in awhile so 'shouldn't' be transmitting. You could probably test this by letting a bunch of air out of one of those stored tires and see what happens to one of your displayed corners.
  17. Woulda, shouda, coulda called it Pony or....Pinto E? Calling it a Mustang might be worse than GM slapping SS badges on everything that came down the production line for awhile.
  18. This might not apply to your '13 but on the Gen2 Edge that module is behind the right side cargo area panel. To get to it the panel (a fairly large piece of plastic) has to be removed. All of the trailer wiring (again, gen2) is there with connectors just waiting for the module.
  19. European Edges can be equipped with diesel engines. That may be at least 'part' of the reason for the increased rating.
  20. That doesn't sound unusual for a 12 year old car (there certainly wouldn't be a recall). Repair pricing varies 'a lot' depending where you live and the Northeast is probably among the priciest places in all the land. The only way around the labor charge is to do it yourself, maybe find a friend or neighbor willing to help.
  21. I believe the bolt pattern is different between the Gen1 and Gen2 Edges. Wheels from one can't be used on the other.
