This is as far as it will turn to the left.

It doesn't seem to turn past 1/4 turn and I'm afraid to break it.

Sorry for the stupid questions, but I haven't done this before. How many turns of the drain vailve to the left do I need to make? Is it 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn? a full tuen? Thanks

Hello I've removed the filler cap and opened the drain valve, but the coolant is not draining out. Any suggestions? Thanks Picture uploads are not working.

Is the drain on the drivers side a 19mm plug? Planning just opening up, draining and filling with motorcraft pre-dilluted. Is this what others have done? Thanks

I'm planning on using the H6 730cca battery from Costco as above in my 2018 Edge. Not sure what option to set for this in forscan? The OEM battery is show as a Varta 60Ah 520CCA H5 Case as in the attached picture. Thanks for any help.

Nice to hear the reset of the BMS in the video worked for you. That's the method I'll probable be using. So you didn't need or use forscan when you changed your battery? Thanks

Received advertisement from my dealer for the "Fast Lane" motorcrafter battery replacement for $149.95 plus taxes and installation. Haven't called yet, but thinking this wouldn't fit my Edge? Installation? $100? Tempting

Thanks for the info. My car doesn't have stop/start and I don't want it! It strains the battery, starter and engine. Haven't changed my battery yet, but now keep jumper cables in my car. Having checked the voltage on my battery occasionally, it has been as low as 11.6 volts. When it's this low I put a charger on it and it come right up. My biggest concern is coming back from a trip and finding it dead in the parking lot, but they have a jump starter there so not a huge deal. I charged the battery before my last trip and when I came back the car started fine. I'll look into Advanced auto parts. Buy I'll probable just do it myself.

I found this method for BMS reset and will give it a try. Still interested in Forscan sounds like something I should have. Thanks for the info.

Probably following this procedure, If I hook up a 12 volt power source to the cigarette lighter would that work to preserve my radio stations and destinations when I unhook my old battery?

Considering replacing the battery soon on my 2018 with 3.5L The car isn't a driven daily. This causes premature battery failure. Can I do this myself? Looks like reaching the negative terminal may be difficult but possible. Is this just a unhook the old battery and hookup the new, like I've done with other cars? Any hints, tips, suggestions like what battery to replace it with would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any thoughts on using Walmart Supertech synthetic SAE 75w/140 for the PTU lube change?

All the time I park it's on a level surface, therefore I never need or set it when I park. Years ago on several cars if you put on the parking brake, it wouldn't release. The parking brake would stick in the locked position, this makes me reluctant to use it as well. My Edge stops better after I've set the parking brake. I'll have to remember to set it once in awhile.

Draining my PTU, exactly 400ml came out. Manual says should've got 530ml. When filled, could only get 400ml in. 3.5L v6

Did a complete factory reset of my phone, last resort wipes everything out - but it works now. Restored my contacts from a backup, blue toothed to the Edge and contacts download fine. Spent most of the day backing up my phone, did the factory reset on the phone and then restored things back on the phone. Wasn't a sync problem.

Reset and patched sync, all it got me was loosing my previous destinations, radio station and other settings. Why do text messages transfer from my phone to sync, but not contacts? Tried pushing individual contacts, but get a failed to transfer message on my phone, so it does seem to be the phone.

Tried ot several times, doesn't help. Talked to Ford today and tried several things, they said I need to talk to my phone service provider.

Hi everybody. Tried making a call the other day and to my surprise my phone contacts were not in my Edge, "No Contacts" Made sure Contact access was on under my bluetooth on my phone for Ford Edge. Then tried, download contacts again and still, "No Contacts" Deleted Ford edge from my phone bluetooth connections and Galaxy S9+ from my Ford Edge, then added new bluetooth device Ford Edge and made sure Contacts access is/was on and it was. Then tried downloading contacts, "No Contacts" Hadn't checked for updates on Sync in awhile, so checked for updates and there was an update. So updated Sync. Tried downloading contacts again and, "No Contacts" Deleted Ford edge from my phone bluetooth connections, then Galaxy S9+ from my Ford Edge, then added new bluetooth device and made sure "Contact access" was on. Then tried download contacts, then checked contacts "No Contacts". Opened up phone keypad and manually dialed wife - worked fine. Opened up text messages, they work fine. Later checked recent calls after turning car off and on, no recent calls. No record of my call to the wife. Did the sync reset that didn't help. Wife's S7 works. Is there any way to just add a contact to SYNC 3? Thanks
