Traffic info comes from Sirius only since there is no TMC on Ford vehicles in North America. Some get Sirius traffic free for 5 years (States only? havent heard about Canada) otherwise it is paid subscription

Usually, there is a radio channel dedicated to traffic and road conditions only (we do have in Calgary), so "Turn on Radio" would mean switch to that channel for important or emergency news or maybe there is one among the Sirius channels...

The autoinstall file you have is missing your version 3.8.15128 for whatever reason even though we have the same version 3.10.161080. Hold on, just noticed, do you have 2017 Edge? You should have SYNC 3 then, not SYNC 2

Check your version of SYNC and compare it against Autoinstall.lst file of version 3.10 you downloaded (opens by any text reader like wordpad or notepad). Your version is most likely not included in that file. I can help you to modify it so you can install it by yourself without visiting dealer

First, go to syncmyride.com and check again if an update available for your vehicle. Ford just recently made SYNC v3.10 officially available for download. Second, If not, you could try installing 3.08 or 3.10 from links available on this page. There is a 99% chance you'll get it succesfully installed, but another 1% might fall into dead APIM category (those cases have been previously reported)

What digits you had in first field from factory? it should be 4341 - Canada, so change it to 5753 or 5552

Finally, I took video of both at once. Edge is closer, Explorer - further away. Edge's liftgate slams and then electric motor is heard, Explorer's does not...

You might be right, I have to check. Explorer does exactly the same as you described it on MKX (doesn’t seem it pulls it though, maybe locks only), apparently Edge is missing that element of power liftgate. That is the shame on Ford.

I'll post video of my Explorer and you'll see it is not...

That is what dealer told me that this is normal, but it actually makes it like a really cheap car! I'm gonna check with restyled Explorer guys, if it is the same. BTW, been in the dealership I checked Escape's manual liftgate and was truly impressed how it was working - I moved it almost all the way down with my hand and the released and know what? It did not drop, no, it closed nice and smothly like it were power! And it did fully latch! And Escape is 10k cheaper car! Just designed in Europe...

Hey guys, Just bought new 2018 Edge Ti and noticed strange behaviour of power liftgate: it is closing normally up until 5cm left and then suddenly droppes to close! Mine 2012 Explorer does it smoothly and nicely all the way down!!! I was told by the dealership that this behaviour is normal, but is it? I used to not to trust to dealers! Dealer told me it does it to make sure liftgate is closed, but I think it is bullshit! Does anybody could confirm the same?

I'm enjoing typing an address and viewing messages while driving for a while on my 2012 Explorer, but that is only because I have no Sirius subscription. These two are not compatible with each other! Ford delivered another piece of something in this area. Why I can not have both? I want to enable this feature on my new Edge, but currently I have Sirius subscription including traffic and dont want to loose them. Meanwhile, Sirius Travel Link is pretty much useless in Canada. Fuel prices and movies listings are not working at all. Weather and Ski conditions do not know about Canada at all, only traffic is left. So far, both 5753 and 4741 APIM 7D0-02-01 XXXX xxxx xxxx enable Navi and messages in-motion, but disable Travel Link

Why would you need to enable HD Radio without having HD capable ACM unit in the first place? All HD radio capable ones come with HD Radio enabled from the factory. Otherwise one has to replace ACM as well...

there was an application to do that on SYNC 2, but was only available in US, do not know about SYNC 3. Could ask ford support...

hello guys, requested a dyno charts for tunes from livernois and got this reply: "The system is down for now but the gains on the 3.5 NA explorer are around 31whp and 44wtq on 93 octane | For the edge 2.0 gets 46whp and 77wtq on 93" Why would they give me numbers for 93 octane if it is practically not available (at least in the area around my place)? I asked about gain on regular fuel: "Ecoboost vehicles should be ran on 91 at least from the factory, they only say you can use 87 because they dont want to scare away sales, but 91 is about 7-10 hp short of the 93 tune" So, my guess, if I use regular gas then I should not expect any gain from the tune!

Hello everyone! I just bought 2018 Ford Edge Titanuim (traided in my 2012 Focus Ti and gonna miss it!). I have 2012 Ford Explorer Limited and still love it! Wanted to order one in Silver, but was too late(Ford has already stopped taking orders for 2018 MY) and had to choose from the stock available. It is pretty much all the options I wanted, except Vista roof (I wanted one without) and in Magnetic colour. It is my first Edge and I hope we spend a great time toghether! What I noticed though, that Edge forum is not that active as Focus, Explorer or F-150 forums. Lets change that! Edge is a great vehicle and there are lot of things to discuss!
