Our ST has 3300 miles with country and small town driving using 87 octane gas averages 24 to 27 no problem tank-full to tank-full, amazed at mileage!! But then about same motor in F-150 4 x 4 will make 20 to 23. My 15 2.0 Edge made 25 to 28. Only problem with ST is some paint blotch issues Ford / Dealer is going to fix.

Well whatever we or Ford want to call it, my ST will steer itself and continue to do so as long as there are bright edge of road lines and it does slow down and maintain distance for coming up to car in front as well. Yes, I need to just barely touch the steering wheel so it knows I am THERE and I COULD take control but it WILL follow the road on its own; supposedly if deer were to run onto road it would apply brakes and also try to avoid an object blocking the lane by swerving around it....I have not tried or experienced that yet.

My ST (Oct. 18 build) definitely alerts me if have hands off the steering wheel longer than maybe 4 seconds when the lane sensing / adaptive cruise is engaged. It is amazing how it will steer perfectly around curves in the road and then back straight again....unless the white line to the right is unpainted for an intersection, then it will jerk a bit to the right and then come back. However it does sense even a very lite touch to the wheel....but will immediately alert your with beeps, text and orange illumination if you leave hands off or just hover your hands around the wheel for few seconds. Shifting and mileage are very good in mine as have a stretch now of 450 miles at 27.5 mpg.

I just did 300 mile trip into MSP so had both heavy traffic and open road, 27.5 mpg overall with the ST; accelerates great off ramps to merge and handles very well in lane changes. The 8 speed is about as smooth shifting as my 10 speed in F-150 and overall ride is a bit stiff but not bad at all. All options work as they should and the car will actually steer itself around curves and down the straights but then warn you to put your hands back on the wheel after maybe 10 seconds. I did trade out the Hankook Ventus AW for Michelin Premium LTX AW after dealer said the Hankook will not last. Checked for oil consumption and still right on the full mark after 1200 miles with no drips underneath. Pretty darn good vehicle! No one still knows where my original order ended up or if it even left Oakville as it still states in production since Oct 16th.

Would it be worthwhile for all of us to list our build dates and maybe last five numbers of VIN to see if there is any pattern of programing updates?? Ht St Wh Icon on home screen and do notice the piped sound. Real quiet at cruising speed on Hwy. No real problems with shift or lag. Oct. 18 and 27778 here.....

If its really ugly I drive my aluminum 2017 F-150 or 03 F-350 otherwise here in MN we are used to driving in whatever and wash them off often. The EDGE AWD is better on icy roads then latest F-150 but of course if pushing snow or driving in deep snow them have to use F-150 up to a point otherwise use common sense and stay home till drifts cleared away. On our country roads I have 9 foot blower on tractor to use when necessary. Ford vehicles made to drive all year all weather but use common sense whatever that may be!!

Back in 2011 when the then new Explorer first came out I went to a dealer intent on buying one. So at the dealer I looked over the Explorer inside and out and siting right next to it happen to be a 2011 Edge. We really did not need the three rows of seats and the 2nd row seat in Edge had more room that the 2nd in the Explorer. And the Edge had more room in the cargo area unless one folded down the third row in the Explorer. And upon driving the Edge sure was more nimble. We drove the 2011 Edge AWD home in show storm and loved it. And then traded for a 2013 and then a 2015 with each one improving and now we have the 19 ST which is a continued improvement way it seems so far. I had it up on my hoist today to really check it over and it sure seemed well built with narry a leak or weep of any kind regarding water, engine or trans oil. It appeared to be quite an engineering feat to put that twin turbo V6 and 8-speed trans in the chassis and tie it all together all-wheel drive wise. It was all done neat and orderly. So far am averaging 25.2 mpg overall so am surprised by that as well, of course no tearing around with it yet, just breaking it in decent like as did with other Fords and I have never had an oil consumption problem! I bought this ST not to race around just to have a continued improved Edge with better handling and more power that the 2.0 had in the 2015. Difficult to say if Ford will keep the Edge down the road with the new Explorer, Escape, Bronco and Ranger coming along!??

Good Luck!! Trust your delivery date will tick down INSTEAD of up! No word or sign of my original July 3 order yet! Thankfully the dealer found me another similar one some 200 miles away and swapped for it Dec. 21 so have ST in garage now. The ST seems solid and leak free as of 400 miles!

This message needs to be forwarded to Kumar Galhotra at Ford Corporate today as each Wednesday he holds Ford product line focus group meetings to go over issues. My issue is that I ordered an Edge ST June 14, 2018; that order along with four other sequential VIN number orders were accepted by Ford July 3, 2018. My unit was built and invoiced to the dealership on Oct. 16, 2018. It is now nine weeks since that build date and the dealership has received each of the other sequential number builds along with other 2019 Edges; however, there has been absolutely NO information forthcoming on my ST and the dealer has tried everything possible to obtain more information to no avail. And when I have contacted Ford customer relations they simply state they cannot help me on this issue as they have no way to find out. How can this be in the modern computer tracking world we live in?? No wonder Ford is going down hill if they cannot even keep track of their vehicles and inform long time customers or their dealerships!! Lets add Bill Ford and Jim Hackett to the list of those who should receive this note!!

Perblue….Talked to my dealer sales manager this late afternoon and he said he tried every day this week to find out what happened and got NOTHING back; same as the Ford Corporate Supervisor. He said that he just had an F-150 stolen in transit and smashed up as well as had experience with NTSB pulling vehicle off assembly line to crash test and in both cases Ford informed him rather quickly by sending special notice by certified letter and apologizing. He can't figure mine out other than probably as you say it is on some kind of hold to recalibrate or inspect??? And as the Ford Holiday sales ad playing now states, "Ford checks & rechecks every vehicles code to be sure its built right!! WE HOPE!!! Funny thing is numerous ST around here have been built few days before mine and up to two weeks after mine and they have all arrived at dealerships as well as MANY regular 19 Edge SE, SEL or Titanium. Go Figure!!

The Ford "Supervisor" just called me at noon here Friday on my ST that he has been trying to find out what happened to since Monday morning and he is having NO luck either, said he will get back to me next Wednesday the 19th!! Go figure when even a head honcho with Ford cannot find things out very easily. Mean time the website doesn't change from being "in production" Oct. 25th and the time to delivery moving up to 32 days.

WS6Fury....Mine does NOT have brake package and is rather basic 400A with Nav / Adapt Cruise & block heater, ingot silver. I have been thinking it was too basic for Ford and they are filling 401A loaded builds as make extra $$$$ on them. I have no need for the other packages beyond standard since it has Ford Pass which allows one to use phone to communicate with vehicle. I did receive call-back from Ford "Supervisor" this afternoon as he promised Monday morning; he was still working on finding out what's going on but running into obstacles!

snowtire.....As long as not weird order most dealers around here not care as long as buy something from them. IF my ST doesn't come through will just pick up an Edge Titanium; plenty available or I know of at least 50 ST around MN but not like I ordered, might grab one of those. My dealer will trade any where to get what one wants. I have had three Edge and they are good all around just thought little more power and improved handling would be good. I am spoiled by the power and handling of my F-150 with the 3.5 PIDI EB engine.

Fingernip…..The website appears to be working as it should or supposed to for your ST. You ordered it Sept 19th if I remember correctly?? No new info here only that my page jumped up to 30 days till delivery as of this evening. I suppose I should have been patient until it clicks off 100 days!

My build date (10 16 18) on the WS has never changed from the first date the WS was available which was 10 16 18. The date stamp of the WS print and each weekly refresh of course changes and now mine is 12 10 18 as well. My original build date notices and the delivery estimate notices did change numerous times up until 10 16 18 build date and then on 10 25 18 the website started to show "in production" and has ever since while the last delivery date estimate of Nov. 13 never happened, and the delivery keeps ticking up one day at a time ever since without listing a date anymore. The website is a CRAZY mixed up affair; UNLESS that is actually how the Oakville plant operates!?
