Diagnostic report done.... fan fault P0480 6C - failed to initialise in previous key cycles. New fan unit unless you strip the thing to bits yourself.... car front bumper to low to get under without a ramp.... take my credit card please.
 

 

 

 
Thanks for your help guys..... was still cheaper to do diagnostic with the service contract discount than replace without, so worth a roll of the dice.
