  1. these scare me because it falsifies incoming data from sensors to trick the ecu into to creating unregulated and monitored scenarios such as faster pedal repose and more boost. ive seen these end badly and will always recommend a proper tune before ever using these.
  2. Here ya go, edge sport with a resonator delete:
  3. I did forget to mention that we did the screen for all of 10 miles to test a theory ? What i cant get over is the turbos maintaing close to the same output but with 4 psi less.....means they are trying less and less load on the motor. We tried "porting" the stock airbox with a 2.5" pvc plumbers nightmare down to fender well....... results were so little we never even posted that fail. Im not to worried about the Turbo inlet Pipes (TIP) as much as the airbox as it is only sucking from a 9sq/in hole......thats alot of air to shove through that tiny hole! Ill update the OP with the fact that we are using a drop-in K&N. Thanks for the input!!!
  4. We look forward to all the contributions! if you need any advice or guidance along the way please feel free to reach out to myself or @snmjim!
  5. Exciting news guys! we have a FEF discount! Letter from Kelly, Here is a coupon code for $50 off Ngauges and Ngauge / MVPI tune files. Plus it grants free shipping on the Ngauge. Just plug this code in our site at checkout for the deal. “edgeoftheworld” https://www.brewcityboost.com/product/ngauge-tuner-for-ecoboost/ https://www.brewcityboost.com/product/ecoboost-tune-file-for-ngauge/ Appreciate your help with this! Keep on rockin in the free world!
  6. Absolutely! Let us get 93 finished up!
  7. Maybe, we dont have definite confirmation yet ;-). just proof of concept!
  8. Good day! Lets just rip the band-aid off, I am here to once again hash and discuss the pros, cons and ideas of possibly fabricating an intake for the platform, but with a twist....... I HAVE NUMBERS!!! So having an edge that is demanding alot of air (catless, custom turbos, etc) I figured why not test on our specific vehicle as it will exaggerate any results! So here we go: Decided to test a theory, less restriction = more power, but heat will defeat the power gained by less restriction. So to test this I took the top of the air-box off and left the bottom half in to still provide some "Cool" air to the intake area. I put some aluminum screen over the intake as a two dollar proof of concept, to protect the motor from sucking in foreign objects, and connected the intake sensor and mounted it near the intake for an accurate measurement. Now for testing sake we did both logs, on the same stretch of road, in drive, with TC off, from 0-100 and on the same day. Was able to get a log with stock airbox and about 15 min later with the screen. NOTE: During these test a K&N Dropin was used in the stock airbox, and the screen was used for 10miles to just test a theory. Now for observed results: Stock airbox with drop-in filter: Start boost air temp 102 End boost temp 148 Max turbo flow 66.4 lb/min at 23.2 PSI Screen "Filter": Start boost air temp 115 End boost temp 141 Max turbo flow 65.2 lb/min at 19.3 PSI Observations: With the screen filter we did notice a higher starting temp than using the stockbox however when WOT the temp quickly dropped BELOW the stock air box lowest recorded temp by 4 degrees and ended at a lower temp. The biggest note here is the drop in pressure with the same flow! The car did feel slower, this is due to the incoming air being well beyond tuned safety limits, and is noted in the log. We have sent both logs to BCB for review and input and they will be getting back to us soon! I have included images for observation and discussion. As soon as i can figure out a way to post view-able logs i will doing so. AND DISCUSS! - Special thanks to @snmjim for letting me test this theory!
  9. So now that we are having more edges pop outta the woods with tuning questions and concerns why dont we make a main tuning folder under FORD EDGE LINCOLN MKX MODIFICATION AND TECHNICAL DISCUSSION????? Im seeing tuning questions in 2.7L specific, in mods and accessories and multiple other places, maybe its time to make high level folder for it Just a thought
  10. Thanks! We have access to a Dragy and will be measuring final revision of each tune. We have not seen any valve float and are only pushing about 100 rpm past OE redline via the logs, it looks like more due to Tac momentum. Still testing the trans tune I made for daily use (we want 1000 miles on the tune before public release), and then i will be refining a track day trans tune with Casey (BCB).
  11. good catch! ty! E30 And stock pump as of right now
  12. Everything has been substantially tightened up without slamming gears, everything feels positive and the way the trans show have felt from the factory. If you have instagram look up E90_Coaltrain and i have videos of the kickdown, and 20-100 pulls. if you dont i can figure out a way to send you then videos
  13. Yea so are all mine.....weird stuff still happens lol
  14. Take it back to who you bought it from....they may have repainted the tailgate and some how installed it upside down..... thats just a shot in the dark
  15. First and foremost, sorry this happened to you bud. Next, it sounds like a head gasket failure, there would be no CEL for this due to it being something that would be hard to sense with the installed factory sensors. I would be a little weary of putting in such a high mileage motor for the that price. Your transmission is fine as it is a sealed off unit and a completely separate system,
  16. harbor freight has a cherry picker cheap
  17. OP Updated, please review and let me know if i missed anything!
  18. I would like to introduce another option to the fairly limited Edge tuning community! Brew City Boost (BCB) has been around the block for some time now and has held many records through time! They currently hold the 2.7L ecoboost stock block power record at 506 whp on a F-150 which is what originally attracted my father and I to use them. Then we saw their 1.76 60' times with the SHO (shares our Trans) and we were immediately sold. We have been working with Casey (their tuner) for about 40 days now and we have to admit this has been hands down one of our favorite tuning experiences. Even though this is an E-Tune he was the first to understand and precisely control our custom turbos! Casey has a direct line and does not mind answering questions throughout the tuning process and will work with you to reach whatever goals you have in mind. I am currently working with Casey to refine the Edges Transmission tune and optimize daily use, got 30.8mpg going into D.C. this morning with traffic! So far we have had amazing results with small tweaks and the drivability of the vehicle has increased tremendously, especially during spirited jaunts. We are wrapping up our 93 octane tune with amazing results and will continue on to e30 and lastly 110. If you are interested in using their services they can use SCT but highly recommend HP Tuners as it has more tune-ability. They are still working on adding the Edge to their site but they do have a work around till it can be added. Go to their site https://www.brewcityboost.com/product-category/ford/ford-edge/2015-2019_edge_sport_st_2-7/ and check her out! Once the website is updated I will update the OP. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out and ask! $50.00 off coupon code: edgeoftheworld
  19. I'm sorry but that is not correct. Livernois was only able to add 60 ft/lb to the ST due to limitations of the transmission, that is not the case with the sport.
  20. Oh you mean boost activated cutouts. i was a bit confused there.
  21. Are you claiming you picked up 7psi of boost from a muffler bypass? What is your boost peaking at?
